Lake View Section

We live in a beautiful rural lakeside setting.
The views are ever changing, it is very peaceful.
We are finishing our house build and are now landscaping and developing gardens.
We enjoy meeting and learning from other cultures.
In my former life I have hosted 100's of wwoofers and backpackers on our farm. Many remain friends to this day.
We love connection.

We are a couple in our 60's developing a small life style block. We would appreciate help from some younger fitter folk than us :-) We like to have people who have initiative and responsibility to work independently as well as along side us. You would be treated as part of the family. We eat dinner together, we are fairly relaxed about breakfast and lunch meals, sometimes it is make your own from the food provided

Raewyn and David are very friendly and kind. If you like quiet places, this is the ideal spot. Also if you like muffins! The garden is quite large and needs some work, but with the view of the lake between sunrise and sunset, it's lovely. They can give you some advice for the rest of your trip. Angelo and his friends can take you on an adventure. Jessica might suggest a walk on the beach with her dogs. I spent two pleasant weeks in their company :)

Raewyn and David were kind and accommodating hosts. I enjoyed our conversations about the local area and appreciated their travel tips for the South Island. It was a pleasure getting to know their family. The tasks were fair and weather-dependent, and their home offered a beautiful view of the lake.

I totally enjoyed my time with Raewyn & David. I stayed at their lovely place and their daughter’s place near Christchurch where they were renovating the house at the time. They made sure that I have everything I need and feel comfortable. Raewyn‘s food was absolutely delicious. When it comes to work I would recommend to be flexible, as it is very weather depending. I did a lot of painting. Besides that I was gardening and did other general tasks around the house.
The work hours were flexible and I got multiple opportunities to explore the area and meet their friends and family. Thank you!☺️
