Lajerpote Garden

Lajer Pote Permaculture Garden, volunteers will experience a meaningful journey into sustainable living, environmental education, and community empowerment. We are located in a peaceful village surrounded by nature in East Java, Indonesia. Our project focuses on ecological learning, character building, and spiritual growth for local children through outdoor education and permaculture-based farming.
As a volunteer, you’ll help in gardening, assisting with nature-based education for kids, and creating eco-projects that support local resilience. In return, you'll be part of a warm, inclusive community, enjoy traditional food, and learn about Javanese culture in a natural and respectful environment.

We are a small and passionate team of educators, farmers, and community members dedicated to building a better future through environmental education and permaculture. Our core team consists of local youth, teachers, and volunteers who share a deep respect for nature and spiritual values. At Madrasah Rimba, volunteers will be treated as family. We value kindness, open communication, and mutual respect. You will be welcomed into our daily routines, join shared meals, and be supported in learning local customs and language.
