LA SELVA at Nomad Tree Lodge

We have a brilliant balance of jungle living with all the sounds and life you could want. Howler monkeys, white faced monkeys, toucans and much more whilst also the constant sound of crashing waves just in front of us. If you want to connect with good humans, cool animals and maybe even yourself, this is the place.

I (Ainsley) have volunteered in many places and many positions and have been a traveller for the last 8 years. I know what is important to a volunteer. Here you are safe, with clean spaces and most importantly friendship and connection with great people. The team is myself, at least one yoga volunteer and at least two breakfast volunteers. Efrain our live in maintenance man and of course all the guests you will be interacting with. All volunteers work and finish the same time and all rules and information is provided so your experience is enjoyable while providing us a great service. In the end, if you are happy, it shows and it is felt so that’s what we want!

There are some places that say “come as a guest, leave as friend”, at La Selva it was “come as volunteer, leave as a member of the family” and what a beautiful family !
I felt welcome, needed and respected.
The place is great, in the middle of the jungle (you need to like the wildlife) and remote (don’t expect the noise of the town).
The work is super well organized, clear and simple. The shifts fly by and you have your while afternoon to chill or discover.
The people are amazing, this place attracts beautiful souls, guests or volunteers ✨

Thank you!! It was a true pleasure having you join our familia :)

Flore is an AMAZING volunteer. She is super pleasant, hard working, is great with guests, and is a great yoga & movement teacher. She was an amazing addition to our team, and I promise you will be lucky to have her at yours :)

I really enjoy my experience at la Selva. I was either making breakfast, which I enjoyed or cleaning the guests cabins or the main era which I enjoyed a little less since it gets dirty quickly but I was ok with it since it was part of the deal. While I was there we were short staff for some reasons so I was often alone to do breakfast and it was intense, but I think it was circonstancial. So I would recommend it if you want to leave in a remote place in the jungle, be in the nature in a far away but relaxing spot and you are flexible person. I met some amaxing people there 💗🌞🦜
