La Casa del Viento, Enguera, Valencia

So, we’ve hosted over 1000 volunteers in the past few years—either we’re doing something right, or they keep getting lost on the way out. 🤷‍♂️ A stay with us means good vibes, new best friends from around the world, and views so stunning you’ll question why you ever lived anywhere else. Oh, and let’s not forget the food—fresh, homemade, and so delicious you might start writing poetry about lentils.

Our sleeping arrangements? One shared room for 6 (because bonding), and two shared rooms for 3 (or for couples).

This is the good life—the simple, minimal, blissfully WiFi-optional life. If you’re looking for a McDonald's drive-thru, congratulations! You’ve taken a very, very wrong turn. We don’t do much meat here, but we do have enough legumes, seeds, and greens to make your gut microbiome sing with joy. Got a weird question? Ask away! We love weird questions.

Now, let me introduce myself. I'm Silvia, and for many years, I've been wrangling a sprawling eco-farm and hamlet in the Valencia mountains. It’s been a wild ride, but now we are onto my next adventure—creating a dreamy retreat space for travellers, wanderers, and beautiful people. We live in a 300-year-old Spanish farmhouse perched atop the Sierra de Enguera, surrounded by 62 hectares of rolling pastures, fruit and nut trees, jaw-dropping views, and enough hiking trails to make your legs question your life choices. Oh, and we have a friendly fox who thinks he’s one of the cats—yes. Welcome to our world! 😄

Staying at La Casa del Viento was an unforgettable experience. The place itself is absolutely breathtaking, surrounded by stunning nature that allows you to truly slow down, reconnect with yourself, and feel part of something bigger. What made it even more special were the wonderful, loving people I had the chance to meet and share time with. There’s a beautiful energy here that combines peace, authenticity, and community. If you are looking for a place to connect with nature, with others, and with your own inner self, this is the perfect spot. I will always carry this experience in my heart.

This place holds magic and peace. Silvia and Jay are both welcoming, kind and warm.
They organize yoga, boxing and dance classes and have many ideas and projects around the place. The tasks are easy and volunteers have a lot of free time. Anyone can make its own impact on the house.
Another amazing thing was being surrounded by people from all over the world and make true connections.
It definitely felt like home

Casa del Viento is a wonderful place where time flows differently. Jay and Silvia were always very helpful and welcoming. I loved the connection with nature, with the other volunteers, and the activities offered by the hosts, such as yoga, boxing and dancing classes. Being in a remote area can give you the feeling of being a little isolated but for me it was a positive aspect, as it helped me to get even more immersed in nature and interact with the other volunteers. The tasks were generally easy and flexible. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations and I would definitely go back!

‏I spent two and a half weeks in la casa del viento, and had a really good time! The area is beautiful and quiet, and it feels like you transform into a completely different atmosphere. I had a lot of free time to do whatever I wanted, and met so many new friends.
‏I find it important to mention that a lot of the activities that was written on their profile page didn't actually happen, so the place is great if you're looking for chill and free time, but in my opinion not the best place to learn new skills and experience farm life.
Overall very happy for the experience.
