This was my first Worldpackers experience, and I'm very happy I decided to do it! The work was easy and the hours were reasonable. Rooms were spacious and comfy, and the rooftop is a nice place to hang out. Location is great, in the middle of the party area and close to the centre.
It's not the most social hostel as there isn't a very big common area. The kitchen is only two stovetops in the attic which gets extremely hot in the summer and isn't a very hygienic place to cook as several cats live up there. Regardless I enjoyed my stay a lot :) Thessaloniki is a very lively and fun city.

The room and bathrooms are spacious and clean, and the bed is very comfortable. Shifts are flexible and tasks simple, during some shifts I had time to focus in my own projects. The vibe with fellow volunteers was great. Neil and Gulnür are kind and open to shift changes. Some info on the Worldpackers page is outdated—there's no bikes, or yoga. At the beginning breakfast was only cereal but during my last week we asked for bread. The kitchen is poorly equipped (no microwave or oven), dirty and very hot, with cats around, everything is sticky and with cat hair. It's very uncomfortable to cook.

I had such a fun time volunteering at Jetpak! This was one of my first stops on a 6 month trip, and it was a great way to kick off the journey. The one and only thing I would say about volunteering here is do some reasearch! Myself and a lot of people I've talked to expected more beach access. The nearest beach takes 1.5 hours to get to on a bus. Be aware of that.

The actual work is so simple. Just a little bit of cleaning the common areas, and checking people in. Honestly I spent most of my working time just chatting with people from all over the world. I would reccomend Jetpak to anyone!

I had a great time at Jetpak! The work was super chill and the hours were very flexible so you can do everything you want to do. Neil and Gülnur are incredibly friendly and make you feel super at home, and you get to meet heaps of people from all over the world, plus katya (the dog) is super friendly :) Thessaloniki is a very cool city with lots to do, and really good nightlife if that’s what your looking for! Would absolutely recommend coming here, thanks Jetpak <3

Jetpak is a great place to volunteer. I really appreciate the time Guelnur took to train me on my responsibilities and was very supportive when I was working an a complicated situation arose. I told her I didn’t feel comfortable dealing with it on my own and she immediately returned to the hostel to support me. The schedule tends to be flexible and you can often coordinate with the other staff or volunteer if there is something specific you want to do. The only thing I wish I knew ahead of time is that there is no kitchen to cook properly. Just a fridge, some dishes , and a kettle.
