Experience is the best teacher and sharing is a way of giving. our school is aprivate school that certainly needs to share experiences with people who have experience and knowledge int he field of english so that students are motivated to learn English by interacting direcly with people from other countries.
Learning English at our place just focuss on daily concersation. The presence of volunteers at our school will certainly provide a different atmosphere for students and increase their interest in teaching

My teaching team and I are an English teacher in one mission, that is to improve the students skill at english. for us team work is the key, we gonna work together with the volunteer as a part of us in teaching program.

When I talk with Dara he told me that I would stay in the school residence, but when I arrived there he told me that his boss didn’t want the volunteers to sleep there anymore, so I had to stay at one of the teachers house. The house was is a local village, the bed was on the floor, the bathroom outside and there wasn’t a shower.
All the people were amazing and welcoming but I couldn’t stay there for 20 days, so I left before.

The school is undergoing repairs and construction of classrooms so the room that usually for volunteer to stay are used by the workers. Because we have make a deal and for me it's not good to cancel the volunteer to come.

I really enjoyed my time at SMK Dane Rahil. The teachers and students are super kind and welcoming. I am thankful for this unforgettable experience, getting to know the Lombok culture.

I volunteered at Dara Lombok for 2 weeks, and it was such an amazing experience. All of the teachers and students are so kind and they made me feel so welcome in their community. The teachers also organised trips for us including going to waterfalls, the beach and the mountains. I would highly recommend this to people who want to get involved in local culture and are willing to try new things. Thank you so much to all the teachers, and the other volunteer Dara for making my time in Lombok so memorable.

The teachers and students from the SMK Dane Rahill have been so kind and welcoming and their enthusiasm is truly contagious. To me it felt a bit like an unorganized mess at times... but if you are open-minded, the culture and local experience can be an amazing eye opener and insight into their way of living! They taught us a traditional dance, they showed us traditional music and food, we saw some amazing sights... and besides the wonderful tours, I want to thank my co volunteer Mairi for creating and being part of this unforgetable experience! Terima kasih for this mantap betul time!

Such a wonderful experience. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to properly immerse themselves in the culture and get a local experience. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming ,I immediately felt at home. The students were so happy and enthusiastic and such a joy to be around. The teachers couldn’t have done enough for you , particularly Hapiz , Majri, Ari and Dani who went above and beyond to make sure I enjoyed my time there. Again would highly recommend to all backpackers!! Thank you for such an incredible experience (:
