Iznajar

This is an isolated farmhouse, deep in heart of rural Andalusia, with olive trees on rolling hills as far as the eye can see. The house and setting is very tranquil, at the end of a 1km long track. We love the sense of calm and if lazing by the pool or walking through olive groves is your thing, then we think you'll love it.

The nearest village Iznajar, 3km away, appears in several lists of the prettiest villages in Andalusia. It's quite quiet, although there are a few livelier bars, but it is definitely not party central!

Lake Iznajar, 2 km away, has a large freshwater beach where you can swim, windsurf, rent pedalos, sail etc along with a couple of bars and restaurants among pine trees. There's also a sports centre with tennis courts, volleyball etc.

We're a friendly couple in our early 60s. We live in London - one a solicitor, one a business coach - and this is our holiday home where we go to relax, although we often work remotely from there. We both used to work in the film and TV industry and we like art and culture. We're British but have both worked a lot internationally so are very comfortable with other cultures. We're quite sociable and would want anyone staying with us to feel at home, so we hope you'd choose to eat with us - we'd cook since your work is the painting. We eat mostly vegetarian/vegan with some seafood, which is excellent locally, or you're very welcome to cook for yourself if you prefer - we have no problem with people eating meat. Sorry we don't have a picture of the bathroom to show. It's clean but basic and in keeping with the rest of the house. We'd be very happy to answer any questions you have, so do ask.
