I volunteered at Varna Botanika for two weeks and had an excellent experience. The tasks are exactly as described on the platform — clear, simple, and easy to perform — and the schedule is flexible. Tulio explains everything calmly and precisely, so you always know what to do. George, the owner, is very welcoming: he cooks for guests and volunteers, prepares local food and homemade wine, and shares stories about Bulgarian culture in the most generous way.
Peaceful place, great location, and enriching cultural exchange. I’m grateful and highly recommend it.

An amazing hostel with amazing people. I came in the off season which meant that there were very few people here and I was the only volunteer, but the people there were still so fun and welcoming. I did a lot less work than I usually would have because I had to sort out getting a new phone after I lost it, and George and the team worked so hard to help me in any way they could, and always let me do whatever I needed to do to help the situation even if it meant not working that day. I am very grateful for their level of kindness and generosity and had so much fun in this beautiful place <3

This was my first Worldpackers experience, and I’m really glad I chose it. I had so much fun with amazing guests and volunteers — a lot of funny, memorable moments. The hostel owner and manager are very kind, welcoming, and made me feel comfortable from the start.

The work itself is light, easy, and fast to get done with, which gave me plenty of free time to enjoy the city and the beach. There isn’t much to visit in the town itself, but the beach is really nice and definitely makes up for it.

If you are looking for a very chill, but also fun volunteer experience this is the place to go. The work was only in the morning and quite calm. Afterwards there was loads of freetime to go to the city center, the beach or just hang out in the hostel. The whole place was nice and welcoming, very social atmosphere and always somebody to hang out with.
