Hope Haven Home stay.

Volunteers are welcomed to stay at our premises, in one of our project's accommodations. We offer simple but clean, comfortable living spaces. You will either stay in a single or shared (same gender) room, depending on the host situation and peak versus off-peak seasons. The bathroom is shared with other people in the accommodation. We provide volunteers with towels, bed linens and blankets laundries.
We also have plenty space around if you want to bring your own sleeping bags, camping tents, etc.
Single travellers are welcome and it is a safe place. We make sure to assist you in any way.

FOOD
Volunteers are offered three meals a day (breakfast, lunch & dinner) and vegetarian meals are also available. We offer locally available, fresh and nutritious food in meals held together with other volunteers and people working at the project as well. Please let us know in advance if you have any special restriction so we can adjust it for you!

When you volunteer in Tanzania, you will be living in a host family. Life with your host family will be a motivating and fun experience. You will quickly begin to consider it your home away from home, as you are warmly welcomed and treated just like a member of the family. We believe the support of a sincere, compassionate family within the community is essential for you to adapt to and make a difference in a new country. Therefore, we. works to cultivate strong relationships with host families in Tanzania. With the security of a caring family atmosphere, you’ll have the confidence to make a difference through volunteering, experience the culture, and discover everything the country has to offer.

Staying with Joseph and Jovin has been wonderful!
From the very first days you feel taken care of and your needs are always heard and met. As the time goes by you quickly develop the feeling of being a member of their family. Additionally, it’s visible that they really love to host volunteers and are always looking for ways to entertain you, like doing different weekend trips, or show you the local culture, including foods, traditions etc.
The work with children is SO LOVELY and fulfilling, I truly enjoyed every minute I spent with them and learned a lot myself. I hope to return soon!! :))

Volunteering with ayodo was the best experience of my life. It was a dream of mine to volunteer abroad, and I don't think I could have chosen a better place. I was welcomed with the greatest love and friendliness, and I came away with tears in my eyes from the happiest memories of my life. I'm eternally grateful and it's certainly a place I want to return to one day. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a real experience with children and local life in Africa. I can only say thank you 🙏💛💛💛

We were warmly welcomed. Joseph is an amazing host who will make you feel at home. At first it was a bit of a shock that A LOT of the included things didn't exist. Especially that there was no WiFi. Nevertheless Joseph always looked after us and if we wanted to go somewhere he accompanied us. Joseph is kind, funny, very positive and always has an open ear if something doesn't fit. The project was really great and the children are really lovely. They have so much energy. It was also amazing to learn more about the culture and traditions. I'm grateful for this experience! Thank you again Joseph

It was a great experience to be Joseph‘s first volunteer in Dar es Salaam. With the help of Jovin he also learned a lot about being a host. They took care of us when I was really sick for example and they tried everything to help me to get better. The Project in the school was amazing and we achieved a really great impact. Joseph is a really kind- hearted, funny and always positive person. Joseph can still improve in communicating with the volunteers about informations we need. Other than that i am really grateful for this experience and i am so proud of our social impact in Chamazi.
