Help a little and learn a lot

Well, I am not a very traditional host, I won't treat you like my worker but more like an apprentice of life :-). You will learn about another culture, learn better conversational English, be in a safe and friendly environment where difference is embraced and have plenty of time to do your own thing. A good place for cultural exchange and to stay during a journey of self-discovery. We will chat a lot before any decision is made so we are both sure.

I appreciate spending my time with people who want to learn more about this strange and wonderful planet we all occupy. I get on with people who care about others and want to learn more about themselves. I have learnt a lot from my time hosting people and this journey continues. I consider myself a well-educated person and believe that life is a continual learning experience, I like listening to the music of most genres, watching a good movie, writing, and watching documentaries. I am interested in environmental sustainability, current affairs, psychology, history, politics, philosophy and technology. I have a good sense of humour, I like to share a joke and tell a story. I like to laugh and of course to have as much fun as life allows me. I live here with my partner Joe and we have been together for many years, he is a good person and is also an experienced traveller. We are not traditional people and accept people from any background who are not ignorant :-) If you have any questions, then please just ask directly as I am always available to have a chat with you and like to make sure everything is clear before any decisions are made. I prefer honest, loyal, independent and free-thinking people, who are coming here for true cultural exchange and to meet new people. If you haven't done this before, I know it is a big deal. I travelled and lived abroad when I was younger. I would much prefer people to come here with the right expectations, so I will always respond to all messages and I am more likely to message you positively if you take the time to read my profile.

A Peaceful and Enrich staying
if you’re looking for more personal experience than a hostel or group project is a great choice.
Staying with Andy and Joe felt like being welcome to calm cozy home with amazing food, and grateful thoughtful conversations and a safe and relaxed atmosphere. This area is peaceful and perfect for downtime yet close enough to Sheffield city centre for day trips and meals are provided and delicious and there is a good good balance between time with your hosts and space explore or work in your own project
I’d righty recommend this stay especially for as a first host

Staying with Andy truly felt like home—I was welcomed as a friend from day one. The atmosphere sparks creativity, and there’s always something to do, for yourself or around the house, without feeling overwhelming. Some of the best moments were the days visiting places with Andy and Joe, or the late-night talks about social issues, self-awareness, and life in general. It’s not just a place to be hosted—it’s a second home where you feel truly cared for and loved. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience that, if you're open to it, can help you grow and become a better version of yourself.

I stayed here for three months, and it was one of the most unique experiences I’ve had.

Andy is kind, fun-loving, and open-minded, making conversations engaging. His partner, Joe, is more introverted but lovely and thoughtful.

You'll spend most of your time with Andy, joining activities you choose together. During the day, while he works, you'll help with household tasks but are free to plan your own time. It’s a great way to improve your English in a fun setting.

If you're open-minded and seeking a unique experience, this is the perfect place.

It was my first time traveling abroad, and I'm so grateful for this experience! We chatted for months before I arrived, so it felt like home when I got here, even though it was different and better than I’d imagined.

Andy and Joe are amazing friends. Andy has a fantastic sense of humor, is transparent, keeps conversations lively, and I was like his wingman. Joe is genuine and cooks delicious meals!

These months have been truly meaningful. Sheffield has so much to explore, especially if you love nature. You’ll learn about the culture and yourself. Thank you, Andy!

Thank you Andy! .. Why ? Because here, in Sheffield, at your home it's the place to be to improve your english, but at least, it's the best place to share moments with very good friends. Andy is one of the most generous people I ever know : he brought me in vacation with him, I met his Mum, and always with smile and happiness.
For sure Andy and Joe will be my friends for life. I recommend to everybody, who want a special help experience, to talk with Andy and understand how you can help him because for sure he will be able to help you.
Thank you for all my friend.
