Happy Healing Home

For those who want to learn about Buddhist old teaching and Lanna culture, we welcome you with open arms. We work meaningful jobs, eat farm grown sustainable food and enjoy traditional music everyday. All this will be shared with you and we guarantee that you will learn more that you can imagine.

We live our lives according to the Lanna cultural way. Lanna culture as been around for more than 7 centuries and it has deep roots in The Northern Thailand communities and most importantly in Happy Healing Home. We treat our volunteers like family because we accept those who accept our culture and our way of living.

I came to stay 10 days but ended up staying 2 weeks. It was a lovely experience, I learned a lot about the Thai culture, specially about Thai language and budhism with Pinam Jim and a lot about Thai culinary and food with Pinam Tee, which was a real experience for me! Everyday we would harvest from the garden and learn how to cook real food.

It was really good to connect with nature and with myself, I thought a lot about what is important in life - good company, good food and time to do what you like.

I highly recommend this experience for everyone!

My stay at the happy healing farm was wonderful. I felt very welcomed and they made me feel like family. I picked up lots of gardening skills and learned to cook tasty local dishes, which helped me connect with the culture. The accommodation is simple, but it fits the experience. I also met great backpackers during my time there. It’s the perfect place if you’re looking for something quiet to relax and reconnect with nature. Definitely recommend!

Me and partner stayed here for a total of 10 days. The experience was amazing, Pinan Jim and Tea were amazing hosts. Jim told us all about lanna culture and Tea made us some of the tastiest and filling meals of our whole trip. The work is only a few hours in the morning then you get your afternoon frees- it’s a perfect place to slow down and switch off from the outside world for a bit. The rooms and toilet are very basic but if you’re happy with that then this experience is ideal.

It was my first experience as a volunteer, and it was really useful for me. They were so hospitable and kind, and I truly love them. The food was amazing, and the work wasn’t too hard. You feel like you’re at home there. For me, it was a great opportunity for character development.

Wow, it was a unique experience, its name is well-deserved. I will carry Pinan Tee and Pinan Jim in my heart... It is a place full of nature, of conscious food, of connection with the self; it is definitely a place to disconnect or rather detox the mind, body, and soul. (from noise, stress, daily tasks, thoughts, and even technology) I laughed a lot, they were patient with my English and made me feel at home, not to mention the food that was different and more delicious each day and the daily serenades by Mr. Jim with his guitar.
