My 3 weeks were filled with happy memories and immersive experiences. I’m so grateful for how welcomed I was during my stay. This is experience is perfect for someone who wants to discover the area and enjoys time with families. I would recommend this to people who have worked with children in the past and are always looking for ways to help.

This was my first ever experience of volunteering with WorldPackers, and I was very pleased with it! Kerstine and Glenn made me feel like home. The work hours were flexible (I had to combine my remote work with some housekeeping and looking after kids). The kids are a lovely bunch!

The guesthouse is located withing 25-minute walk from the city centre. Inverness itself is lovely - there are plenty of cute cafes, shops and cool pubs. Shops close quite early though!

I really enjoyed staying with Glenn, Kerstine and their kids. Would be happy to come back one day! 🩷

My experience with the family was lovely. I was able to learn more about Inverness, I was able to learn more about English. I felt part of the family, they were warm, attentive and respectful! It was my first experience as a volunteer and it was the best start I could have had! Thank you very much family!

The tasks include taking the kids to school, picking them up, accompanying them to activities, cooking, and other household duties. Kerk and Glenn are very kind and fun; the house and room are cozy and comfortable. They always make sure you have everything you need and more, and are always ready to help, making you feel at home at all times. The kids are affectionate, smart, and a lot of fun to be around. Take good care of them and enjoy being with them cause they are special. I learned a lot from being with the kids and I will always remember them. ME GUSTA TU HERMANA (ask the kids about it).

This experience was great! Glenn and Kerk are amazing hosts, very welcoming and caring. They always gave us clear instructions to carry out tasks every day. We helped to prepare breakfast, get the kids ready and take them to school and after-school activities, prepare dinner, clean and do the laundry. But the best was to spend time with the kids. If you decide to come here, keep in mind you are a great influence in their childhood and upbringing. Be prepared to correct the kids when necessary, challenge them, encourage them, and have lots of fun. Inverness is a great place to explore as well.
