Are you looking for an opportunity to connect with nature, contribute to sustainable farming practices, and learn new skills? Come help us at our farm, where we grow apples, cherries, and plums, and be a part of something meaningful. We’re looking for volunteers who want to experience farm life, lend a hand with the harvest, and take part in exciting new projects as we build a new facility on-site!

Our farm is located in ( Hardanger fjord ) a peaceful, rural area where you’ll be surrounded by lush orchards of apples, cherries, and plums. The changing seasons offer a chance to witness the growth cycles of fruit trees and contribute to the farm’s ongoing development. Whether you're pruning trees, picking fruit, or managing the land, you'll get hands-on experience in sustainable farming practices.

Whether you’re passionate about farming, construction, or simply looking for a chance to get back to nature and contribute to a meaningful project, we’d love to have you join us on the farm. Come for the work, stay for the community, and leave with skills and memories that will last a lifetime.

Hello my name is Arnfinn I’m 42 years old. I’ve been married for six wonderful years to my beautiful wife, Maria, and in late 2024, we were blessed with our first son. Life has been a journey of both challenges and amazing rewards, and I’ve always believed that what truly matters is how we approach those experiences. Before settling down to take over the family farm—an incredible legacy passed down through many generations—I spent years seeking deeper understanding and growth. In 2009, I traveled to China to study Tai Chi, spending four months immersing myself in martial arts and philosophy, followed by a month in Mongolia. Then, in 2012, I journeyed to India for six months, diving deep into spiritual practice through meditation and self-reflection. It was both a transformative and challenging time, opening doors to a deeper understanding of life’s meaning. After my time in India, I spent another three months in Thailand, where I studied Kundalini Yoga. This was a continuation of my personal journey of self-exploration and spiritual development. Each experience—whether in China, India, or Thailand—has been a piece of the puzzle that has shaped who I am today. These travels weren’t just about seeing the world; they were a conscious decision to understand myself on a deeper level before I returned home to take over the family farm. The transition to farm life has been a beautiful one. The peace, fresh air, and breathtaking views of the fjord and mountains have nourished my spirit. The connection to the land and the rhythms of nature have brought a sense of fulfillment, even amid the challenges of running a farm. Life, as I’ve learned, is full of twists and turns, and how we face them makes all the difference. While there’s always work to be done on the farm, I’m deeply committed to supporting our volunteers and ensuring they have a fulfilling and rewarding stay. That said, finding a good balance between supporting you and managing the farm’s needs is important to me. I want you to have an enjoyable and meaningful experience, but I also have to keep the farm running smoothly. I’m a firm believer in honest and open communication, which is why I like to have a video chat before accepting volunteers. This way, we can both get a sense of whether we’re a good fit for each other, and I can understand what you’re hoping to gain from your time here. It’s important to me that we have a clear understanding and mutual respect for each other’s goals and expectations.

So I came to the place and it was beautifull and the host was respectable and nice.
The work was just helping him build his house, the work was hard and was basically labor, sometimes with the wrong equipment, but I could always talk to him and tell him what I find right. I was breaking his concrete floor with a hammer and sandbagging his pool from paint.
I think that the host can show appreciation, he never said thank you. My muscles cramped from the hard work and he told me that this will get me stronger and thats when I decided to leave.
Overall beautifull nature with great hikes.
