We are a family, owners of a small organic farm in Tuscany. We produce extra virgin olive oil, fruits&vegetables and we also rent some rooms to tourists and do cooking classes. We are also open with our restaurant in the summer time, 2 days a week.

The helpers can enjoy Lucca, a beautiful tuscan town. Walking distance from us, you will find restaurants, bars, train and bus station, etc.. It is a long time that we are sharing our life with volunteers :-) and we love it! Accomodation and food are free everyday of your stay (we don't provide "special food" on request from the helpers). This family was so friendly and I loved babysitting Lupo over the 4 weeks of my stay. He’s a very sweet boy. The city of Lucca is absolutely beautiful and has so many great things to do and eat, I definitely recommend this experience. I met some really cool people and am definitely going back to visit the city some day. It was lots of fun playing water games with Lupo and telling him stories and cooking with him, if you love kids and can handle the occasional argument (which every kid has) then this is for you. So grateful I got to experience this! Eleonora and Marco are phenomenal parents.

My stay with Eleonora, Marco and their amazing little boy Lupo was an experience I’ll cherish forever.. this was my first Worldpackers experience and Marco and Eleonora didn’t hesitate to welcome me into their family. Their kindness and generosity made me feel right at home. I cannot recommend this experience more! I am so grateful having gotten to spend 4 unforgettable weeks getting to know and build a friendship with their wonderful boy Lupo all while exploring their beautiful city Lucca and the surrounding cities. 4 weeks wasn’t nearly enough time to have spent with these great people!

I can only recommend staying at Forestaria Farm! I helped in the kitchen with another girl - the work is easy and everything is well explained. You’re preparing the food for the guest, which is an easy work. The atmosphere while working is also really nice. You are in the kitchen with Marco, so you always have someone to chat with.
Unfortunately I had to leave earlier than expected due to health problems. Eleonora and Marco were super understanding and it was no problem at all. In general, they are really kind and great people! You‘ll also meet other lovely travellers who‘ll you live with :)

Mi primera experiencia de World Packers y puedo decir que no cambiaría nada de ello!
Eleonora y Marco tenían muy buenos detalles conmigo y con el resto de voluntarias. Como nanny de Lupo, muy bien, algunos días trabajé muchas horas, pero es cierto que se compensaba con los días libres después por lo tanto no tengo queja.
Matraia es un pueblo preciosisimo, ubicado en medio de la montaña, rodeado de naturaleza para los que les gusta es un sitio increíble. Con muchas rutas para poder hacer, buen ambiente
Lo único negativo, es el transporte público que te lleva a la ciudad. Solo es porla mañana

Here is what to expect working in the restaurant at the farm: chopping fruit&veg, making charcuterie boards, doing dishes, & breaking down the patio area. As for the accommodation: you are in an apartment with 7 other volunteers- 2 per room, no air conditioning or fans, and not in the town of Lucca (in Matraia). Many of us found it difficult to find things to do on our days off because we were so far out of town. My favorite part of the exchange was all the girls I lived with :)
