Empty Space Chiangmai

This is a very special and unique place, 30 km away from the main Chiangmai city, but immersed in the valley among local places, which offered a real experience within the natural environment and having a ceramic studio at the heart of their activities though still have many others holistic activities to offer as well a big pond and a rich garden. The atmosphere it is enjoyable and relaxed, good to live and work, in a peaceful but still vibrant place.

We all live and work here with our own projects and personal practices of yoga or tai chi, etc. We are a small group of people, in a few of the small houses that you will find inside Empty Space community, of artists who choose to live in balance with the nature, and we will invite you to join us in our own journey, with responsibility and sense of duty, but holding the essence of peaceful and kindness values on top of all. We wish you to find your self comfortable and welcome at our place, while you stay with us. Sharing some activities and good times of learning from one each other.

Empty Space is so much more than a small pottery workspace surrounded by beautiful nature. The whole place exudes a feeling of harmony, calm and Peace. The people who work there are incredibly friendly, kindhearted, and full of humor. From working as volunteers to sitting around the campfire together, whether it was being creative, crafting, building, repairing, or going on weekend trips, the time we spent at Empty Space fulfilled us on so many levels and brought us so much joy and fun! We would love to come back at any time ☀️ Thank you for all Pi Noi, Pi Oi, Pi Ban!

Empty space is a peaceful place surrounded by nature, perfect for relaxing, slowing down, and reconnecting with the natural environment. The host and the other volunteers there are very kind and welcoming, and in the evenings we often spent time together around a campfire.
There were different tasks to do, which kept the work varied. Furthermore, it was a lot of fun to work on his project in the pottery workshop and to immerse myself in it.

I really liked my time at empty space, it was so relaxing. Pi noy is such a sweet person, sharing her life with us volunteers. She took us to the Saturday market, showed us a cool Thai house, taught us Thai chi, and offered massages for 100 baht. Her story is really something, and I was grateful to get be a little part of it. Empty space is an amazing place with the right people, I’m greatful for the beautiful souls I’ve met❤️ The cat coconut is so cute and the new puppy kao soy too!

Staying in 'Empty Space' is a treat to yourself. Pi Noi and her son Leon are amazing people who will offer you a beautiful stay and the opportunity to make a beautiful contribution. Pi Noi is a ceramic artist, experienced Tai Chi practitioner and gives amazing Thai massages. She will give you a look into her world, incl local market and cafés, and will ask you to bring a bit of your world into hers. Think about how you can contribute up front and your stay will be double as rich. Vibe in Empty Space is cool, refreshing and enrichening. Don't hesitate if you get the opportunity.

My time at Empty Space was something I will cherish for ever. It was amazing. Everyone was so welcoming and encouraging. I enjoyed the tasks and felt what Empty Space was all about aligned with me. I enjoyed learning about ceramics and the local culture of San Pa Tong. Can’t thank Pi Noi enough she was an incredible host.
