... Because ... "DreamAcres" will become your "Home away from Home"❣️

We will greet you at either the Bundaberg Regional Airport, the Bundaberg Coach Terminal or at the Bundaberg Railway Station, depending on where you choose to disembark. From there on you will be in our care throughout your stay with us until your departure from Bundaberg.

Available to you, for your own private use, is a self-contained, clean and comfortable bedroom with a queen size bed and a separate bathroom with a shower, wash basin, wc/bidet, hot water and a washing machine.

DreamAcres is ideally suited for guest volunteers seeking an easy going, relaxed, nature loving and peacefully secluded atmosphere, away from the noise and "hustle and bustle" of city life!

You work with us, you eat with us, you travel with us (towns, beaches, etc.), you sit with us by the campfire and watch in awe the Milky Way in the starry black sky - and are humbly grateful for the tranquility and serenity that surrounds you. You are far removed from all of life's worries and anxieties!

WELCOME to DREAMACRES for your unforgettable experience and the world of "DOWNUNDER"❣️👋

You will be living and working/helping out at your own pace approximately 25 hours per 5 day week! There are no set times or days - flexibility is the key! Too hot - we take a rest, go for a siesta, drive to the beach for a swim or watch a movie, etc. Too wet and rainy - we go to the supermarket for supplies or potter around under cover whilst listening to music or legendary true stories, etc. On days off, we will happily show you the spoils of our beautiful region, historical towns - such as 1770, or take you fishing if you so desire! If you have your own valid driver's licence, we are happy to loan you our car on your days off for you to explore the region on your own (subject to you being a responsible and licensed driver).

You will be treated as "part of our family" - with respect, friendship, trust and kindness.

Opportunity also exists for you to learn various "hands-on" skills of "Living on the Land" - such as soldering, welding, building, zero-turn ride on mowing, how to drive a tractor/loader, safety on the land, and much more - a wealth of hands-on experience for you to take with you!

Your hosts are Elizabeth (Croatian ancestry) and Farouk (or "Frank" - if you prefer, of Indian ancestry). We both are in our early and late 70's, fit and healthy and happily married for 53 years, are multicultural, speak 7 languages between us (unfortunately, Spanish is not one of them!), have lived and worked in several countries and have extensively travelled the world before retiring to our subtropical 25 acre bush property on the East Coast of Queensland, Australia. "DreamAcres" has been our home for the past 18 years, two thirds of which remains natural bushland that abounds with wildlife, fauna and flora. Simply put, it is our much cherished "piece of paradise" and the gateway to the most southern part of the Great Barrier Reef.

My friend and I had the best time staying with Elizabeth! Her property is lovely but she is the true gem at DreamAcres. She is extremely generous: taking us to see local places, letting us borrow her car, cooking amazing meals for us, and even allowing us to stay in her bedroom while her usual guest space was occupied. Elizabeth had the most interesting stories and a lot to teach us about life on land- I feel as though I left her farm with a healthier mindset than when I arrived. The work itself here is matched to your capabilities, I recommend to anyone who’s willing to put in effort!

Elizabeth made us feel welcome right off the bat! She made us feel like family and told us to make ourselves at home in the kitchen whenever we feel like. She was also kind enough to let us use her car whenever we wanted (brave because we're American and not used to driving in the left, but all went well!). She even let us take her room to have two beds. The workload was as promised, if not a little lighter because she knew we are new to the whole farm life, but we still learned a lot and got to plant our own goodbye trees! Also, the dogs are amazing :). I would definitely stay here again!

Oh Raegan‼️I miss your giggles already!!! As for more work - well, I didn't have the heart knowing neither of you did any prior farmworkers! But you both did an amazing job with the shrub pruning🙏❣️ Possibly a bit more skill needed to clean a 5.8m glass wall smudge free🤣🤣‼️❣️👍

I have been at Elizabeth's beautiful property for two weeks, where i had the pleasure to work with/for her in exchange of a nice private room, private bathroom and meals..

I highly recommend this place if you are a solo traveler or a couple looking for a place to stay in Queensland for a while; The property is 20-25 minutes with car from the big city called Bundaberg.
