We are on a mission to transform our outdoor space into a green, creative, and sustainable garden through our project: "From Dust to Oasis."

🌱 Why Volunteer With Us?
Volunteering at Dar Toda is more than just helping in a garden , it's about being part of a real cultural experience. You’ll live the rhythm of desert life With amazigh familly, share traditional Moroccan meals, learn about Amazigh culture, and help build a beautiful eco-space that will serve the community for years to come.

- Connect deeply with nature and the spirit of the desert
- Contribute to a meaningful ecological and artistic project
- Experience daily Moroccan traditions, language, and local life
- Be part of a creative and relaxed family atmosphere

We are a small, local familly passionate about nature, culture, music, and community projects. The heart of Dar Toda is Zahra, our amazing cook and warm Berber mother, and the project is making the desert bloom again through creativity and sustainability. We treat volunteers like family: with respect, kindness, and openness. You’ll share meals with us, have plenty of free time to relax or explore, and be encouraged to bring your own ideas and creativity to the project. We believe in cultural exchange, sharing knowledge, and creating beautiful memories together. Come as a volunteer, leave as a member of familly. Let's grow something beautiful together! 🌿✨

Our experience at Dar Toda was amazing. It's a wonderfull little paradise. The family was so nice and very welcoming. The host (Walid) is very fun and friendly and showed us around Zagora, his mom is the best cook and so sweet and the kids are super cute.
It was our first time volunteering so we didn't know what to expect, but we had the best time and would recommend this place to everyone.
The work is very chill, there are no assigned tasks so you just look around at what needs to be done and do that or make your own creative project.
We are very gratefull, Thank you

Communication was handled poorly and volunteers didn’t know what to do. Basic needs that were said to be provided were missing: no toilet paper, hot showers, clean bed & sheets, laundry, WiFi or reliable meals. Sometimes we received nothing to eat or leftovers from guests' plates. There was an unwelcoming atmosphere with friends of the family saying we had spoiled expectations and didn’t work enough. You also need more time to feel accepted by everyone. Although the family was very friendly and the children warm your heart, the stay was very different from what was described.

Thank you for your feedback, Tina. We are sorry your stay didn’t match your expectations. Your role was to spend time with the children and create activities, but this part of the exchange was not fulfilled.

Toilet paper was available in the storage room, laundry is done by my mother, and meals are provided as part of a mutual exchange — helping and receiving.

We always try to offer a welcoming environment and wish you all the best in your future volunteering experiences.

The experience is good and offers a true immersion in the marrocan culture. I would recommend if you are interested in that, but is def not what is written on worldpackers. The volunteering is helping around, no hours, no specific tasks, just seeing something and helping (so you are kinda expected to be there at all times paying attention). I was really looking forward to learning more about sustainability, so I was confused when I got there and people told me that I should take care of the kids and wash dishes.
If you don't mind that, then is a good place for you :)

Thank you, Helena, for your review. We are glad you enjoyed the cultural immersion, From the first day, we explained that volunteering here is flexible: you help where you can cleaning, small tasks, painting, decorations, sharing ideas, or using any personal skills you have. We don’t give strict schedules because we want volunteers to feel free, creative, and part of the family, not like robots following a list. wish you all the best in your future travel
