dar america english communication

Welcome to our dynamic English language center located in the heart of Casablanca, Morocco’s most vibrant and international city. 🌍

We are a small-scale, community-focused initiative working closely with non-profit associations and local groups to support young people who want to improve their English and expand their global horizons, we believe in accessibility, but also in fair compensation — which is why some classes are offered on a paid basis to help fund local teachers and keep our project alive.

Our mission is to help students improve their English quickly through real-life conversation and cultural exchange. With a passionate and friendly team, we create a learning space that’s energetic, supportive, and meaningful — not just for students, but for volunteers too!

🌟 Your role as a volunteer:
You will not be replacing any paid staff. Instead, you'll simply be joining our students in informal, engaging English conversations, helping them gain confidence and discover the world through your stories.

We offer:

Short working hours (just 3 hours/day), giving you plenty of free time to explore Casablanca, from the buzzing markets of the old Medina to the seaside Corniche.

A supportive team, including the Director, three local teachers, and part-time staff in IT and bookkeeping.

Comfortable shared accommodation right in the center of Casablanca, walking distance from cafés, shops, transport, and local attractions.

As a native English speaker, your role will be to:

Facilitate fun, informal English conversations with small groups of enthusiastic learners.

Help students with pronunciation, confidence, and an understanding of real-world English (including slang and cultural nuances).

Bring your culture, stories, and personality into the classroom — it’s what makes the exchange so powerful.

Whether you’re a seasoned teacher, a curious traveler, or just passionate about communication and connection, Casablanca is waiting for you. Join us for an unforgettable experience full of discovery, diversity, and meaningful connections ✨

Volunteering with us is much more than just a teaching experience — it’s a deep human and cultural journey 💫. Morocco is an incredibly rich and diverse country, blending Arab, Berber, French, and African influences. Through your time here, you'll naturally absorb elements of these cultures by simply living, sharing, and exchanging with locals and students alike. Casablanca, our home city, is a dynamic and cosmopolitan hub that reflects all of Morocco’s cultural layers — from its traditional medinas to its modern cafes and seaside walkways. 💬 As a volunteer, you’ll receive free Arabic language support (3 hours per week) to help you navigate daily life and better connect with the locals — even just learning greetings and simple expressions creates beautiful human bridges. 🍽️ On the cultural side, we offer a traditional Moroccan breakfast every day, including specialties like msemen, Moroccan toast, local honey, chocolate spread, cookies, herbal teas, and Moroccan-style coffee & Lipton tea. Once a week, we treat you to a special homemade Moroccan dish, full of flavors and stories. 🏙️ We also organize a free guided tour of Casablanca, where we cover the cost of transportation, a local guide, and even share a meal during the outing. It's a lovely way to discover the heart of the city beyond the tourist paths. 🌿 The cultural immersion goes even deeper with our volunteer-friendly apartment, located right in the center of Casablanca, close to the Medina and all essentials. You’ll live in a clean and cozy shared studio with other kind volunteers — everything is provided: beds, pillows, sheets, hot showers, towels, storage space, cleaning products, and weekly housekeeping (twice a week, in fact!). 🎁 We love to make your stay memorable: every volunteer receives a certificate of appreciation and a small souvenir gift at the end of their mission — a token of our gratitude for your help and presence. But beyond the food, tours, and lessons — the real exchange happens in the daily interactions, the smiles, the shared meals, the student laughter, and the small cultural discoveries that happen every single day. If you're looking to connect on a human level, discover Moroccan authenticity, and leave with more than just pictures — you’ll feel right at home with us.

This was a phenomenal experience! Sara and the team are so helpful and welcoming. The schedule is very flexible, convenient, and easy to access. The students are respectful and most are eager to learn and grow in their language skills. I had a so much fun getting to know the staff here and working with the learners. The shared room, bathroom, and kitchen were well kept and clean. Sara and the team were so eager to ensure we all enjoyed our experience and are always open to suggestions for ways to improve.

This was a great, not perfect, but great experience. I immediately felt welcomed and part of a team sharing a common goal of enhancing English speaking for the students. I felt respected by the staff, teachers and students (most of them).
There is room for improvement with some aspects but the owner/manager sought feedback on recommendations for improvement. Best not to turn up with Rose coloured glasses rather being prepared to enjoy everything the experience offers.
I would recommend this opportunity and would return if I find myself back in Casablanca.
Thank you to everyone there ♥️😊

Really disappointing experience. I was genuinely excited about doing a Worldpackers exchange and had been calling, emailing, and even gave them my number when they asked for it, but still got no reply. I ended up flying to Morocco assuming it was all set, only to arrive and realise I had been completely ghosted. I was left alone, having to figure everything out last minute. Luckily, I managed to find an alternative opportunity on my own, but the stress and lack of communication made the whole thing really frustrating. Wouldn’t recommend based on my experience.

We’re really sorry for the experience you had. It was never our intention to leave you without answers or support. We understand how frustrating and stressful that must have been, especially after traveling all the way to Morocco.

There was a serious mistake in our communication, and we take full responsibility. We are now working to fix this so it doesn’t happen to anyone else in the future.

Thank you for your honest feedback. We truly regret what happened and wish you all the best .

Overall, it was an eye opening experience. The students are really lovely to speak to, the work is not demanding and the staff and teachers are very welcoming and friendly. My hats off to Sara for truly being able to run the school by herself with a small team. Also she is really sweet and an amazing host.

However, there are some things that can be improved with the communication of the work schedule and towards the end of my month there, the volunteer accommodation started getting a bit crowded. Meant for 4 but ended up having 7 people live there.

Thank you so much for your kind words and honesty.

I’m really happy to hear you enjoyed your time with the students and the team. It means a lot to us. Your sweet words about me and the school truly touched my heart — thank you!

And thank you for pointing out the things we can improve. You're right, we’ll make sure to organize the schedule better and avoid overcrowding the house in the future.

It was a pleasure having you with us. Wishing you all the best always!

I had fun! The workers were amazing and truly immersed me in local culture. The downsides are respecting agreed upon conditions. They had to be reminded of the parameters they themselves set to have us be working there and didn’t always honor it. However, the work wasn’t very demanding and the students were wonderful! I would go back
