Chantal's country house

I am a single mom who, after her dad's death, has been given the supervision of a large country house located between the fruit plantations in Mequinenza, Spain. The house is supplied with electricity via solar panels and a generator, and water is pumped from the ebro and stored in 2 water tanks of 2000 liters. Potable water is collected in buses at a water pump in the village. To give the house and grounds back to their former glory, I could use help in return for this, I provide full board accommodation. Anyone who loves adventure, peace, and nature and is not afraid to roll up their sleeves is very welcome to me. Sufficient relaxation is also included so that the bow does not have to be constantly tensioned.

Help needed by renovation of the fence, building wall around swimming pool, painting inside the house, pruning trees, weeding of weeds, removing cacti, laying rock garden and planting flower garden. Picking and processing fruit, in other words, laying on it, drying it, or making jam. The food is like at home by the fire and a breakfast with sweet and salty food or cornflakes, the lunch can be hot or sandwiches depending on what work is done and therefore also depends on what is given as dinner. The hot meal can consist of pre-main and dessert. Normally everyone eats the same thing except when there are people who have to follow certain diets. In the free time, we can make trips to major cities, but therefore I ask a financial intervention for the gasoil. We can also visit the mining museum. In the month of November, is the olive harvest. After the harvest we go to the olive press and you can get an explication how it works. We can visit a fruit plantation. If you stay with me you also learn how to survive with minimal luxury. In the village you can rent cars at democratic prices. During your free time you can swim, walk or sunbath or take a trip. There is also a TV and you can also see dvds or you can make a drawing and paint. If you like to walk, note that it is a good hour's walk to the village so this is something for the sporty types. I myself have a car where I can take 4 people with me. House rules: Breakfast : between 8 and 9am Lunch: between 1 and 2 pm Dinner : between 7 and 8 pm Please respect these hours Smoking is only allowed outside, and butts are put in a can. No butts on the floor! Everyone maintains their own room and ensures that it is kept tidy. Every day, 5 hours of help is asked for, and you can choose these hours yourself. In the week, you get 2 full days off, which you can determine yourself, but you must request it the day before. Drunkenness is not tolerated!! Smoking marihuana or using any kind of drugs is forbidden !!

I had an amazing two weeks with Chantal. She has a lovely house in a beautiful and isolated area. Chantal is very kind, generous and an amazing host and her two dogs are lovely as well. She is very laid back about working hours and lets you keep to your own schedule, I would definitely recommend this experience if you are on the fence!

My time with Chantal is an experience I will always treasure. From the very first day, she made me feel at home with her kindness and generosity. Her house in the mountains is such a beautiful and peaceful place, perfect to disconnect and enjoy nature. Chantal is a wonderful host, I learned so many things from her, and also loved spending time with her two adorable dogs, who made everything even warmer 🐶💛Thank you Chantal for opening your home and your heart 🩷🩷🩷

Dear Danny, I was so pleased to have you at my place and it was an honor for me to be your first host. You are becoming as a daughter for me, so helpful and friendly. Not only my dogs miss you but me too. I hope we will meet again in the future, and as you know if you would like to come once with your sister, you're both welcome. BFF 💓 🫂
