Casa Orlando, Montepalmieri
The small island is like "good old" Italy was in the 60ies. Friendly easy going people (150 inhabitants) Italian cuisine, music, snorkeling, plants, rare birds. Hiking in the wilderness on ancient mule trails, or visit a neolithic site.
In July/August visitors from all over the world drop in. You can breath deeply and find to yourself. No stress no time exists in this spot, where Mother Nature reigns.
May I invite you to enjoy a detox break from digital time thieves? Care for yourself in a protected natural environment! Listen to the silence and the stars! Activities: seeing each other, discovering life, philosophising, making music, massages (Esalen) or cultivating languages in a daily mutual exchange. (German, Swiss, French, Italian, English, plus some Spanish and the language silence brings to us. You may paint, compose, take fotos or build garden scultures as i am open to all kind of artists - leaving a gift of their work behind.
Restrictions: Note that in the off season from october to april goods are limited, and restaurants (except one Pizzeria) closed on the island. In this period my house is CLOSED. If you are open to a simple caring life in communication with pure nature, you will be fine here.
I am mainly looking for a good co-worker in the kitchen. Preferable older than 23. And helping hand in the garden. You'll be lodged in my guest HOUSE or if you prefer in a hobbit like powerful grotto.
Both are separated from my private house. Bring your own modem and sim-card. Best connections on this remote italian island is with the company «WindTre». But i recommend to grab the chance and deconnect/detox from the internet world – and get deeply back in touch with your real self.
My name is Roland/Orlando born in Switzerland. For years I have lived as a free spirit a modest life on the edge of the Italian island Filicudi, a 9,5 km square island. As a songpoet and writer in Hobbit like mountain caves surrounded by a magic panorama i appreciate sincere, ecological oriented folks.
Plants are my partners. Especially the many trees i planted from seeds from all over the world – some put into music (Roland Zoss, on Spotify).
I try to act in harmony with Mother Earth. The same i expect from my Worldpackers. Here we maintain a simple, sustainable lifestyle. Drinking rain water, practicing Yoga under starry skies. Not all food is always available.
You may take a deeper look in a book about the hermit's life ("The Island beyond the Moon" on Amazon/Apple). Are you ready for a mother's nature experience? If you are age above 23 you could be my cook -:)
