Workers at Camp Alta come from India, Sweden, France, Poland, Netherlands, Colombia and you will become another valuable member of our international team. We come from different places but what brought us together was a true infatuation with the North and a deep desire to share it with other people. We love the place we call our home. As we are devoted to making the magic of the North accessible to every adventurer, we thought about inviting people who'd love to spend few weeks or months in this beautiful place without having to pay for the stay, and perhaps fell in love in it just as we all did! We see it as a fantastic opportunity to connect and share stories and experiences, and we hope to learn from each other. In turn, we'd use some helping hand, as our seasons are busy but we want to make sure that you have the time and space to enjoy all the great things the Arctic has to offer and we will happy to help you uncover its charm!

I worked at Camp Alta mostly at the reception and did some cleaning as well. Even though it was low season and not too much going on I had really lovely conversations with guests and was satisfied to help them. The lovely team members were very welcoming, funny and showed me everything. Compared to all my other volunteer stays I had the most luxury accommodation - a cabin with double bed, my own fridge and even an air fryer. Camp Alta is surrounded by stunning nature for really good hiking. Often it is some kilometers to reach the paths but team members always dropped me off where I wanted to.

This was my first-ever volunteering experience, and I am glad I chose to come to Camp Alta! If you are the type of person who truly enjoys nature, don't think twice! It's truly a beautiful location. I loved waking up in the morning, not knowing which day of the week it was, to enjoy a warm cup of coffee next to the lake, which looked as if it were a painting. I also enjoy saunas a lot, so naturally I really enjoyed using the sauna and taking a dip in the cold lake. This experience made me realise and confirm which kind of environment I'd prefer to live in the future. Thank you, Camp Alta!

I would recommend this place if you’re looking for something peaceful, quiet and some time to reflect. I’ve learned so much just by being here. The sauna is to die for, the lake is gorgeous, the staff is nice, friendly and helpful, the hours agreed are always respected and the work is never too hard. Thank you so much for this experience!! I loved every second of it! :)
