Beach Life Hostel Palomino & Beach Club

We are the Most popular Hostel & Beach Club in Palomino and we have for our volunteer program: accommodation in the volunteer dorm with private bathroom, AC, and location directrly at the beach. Also we include all the family dinners served at 7pm every day, and access to our shared kitchen.

We are cool, relaxed and friendly people, travellers & backpackers at heart, me and my team are always happy and respectful. We are also travelers, before having the hostel I used to volunteer in many hostels around the world so I understand the perspective of the volunteers. We volunteer not just cover some shifts or to save money, is about the community and the experience.

My fellow volunteers and I felt disrespected by the host's attitude, so we left early because of that. The volunteers’ room would flood and was in poor condition. Most importantly, I do not recommend it for women traveling alone.

There was not much of a family culture within the hostel. Most staff were a bit hostile and seemed annoyed that volunteers were there. They seemed to only want girls there to promote the party for men. I didn't feel valued or respected as a person. The hostel also unexpectedly shut down after a week so I couldn't stay for the agreed time.

Foi uma experiência muito boa! O Hugo é super receptivo, o hostel é lindo, beira mar. Aconteceu que durante a minha estadia as festas precisaram de se deslocar para outro lugar mas foi super tranquilo. Você tem o dia todo livre pra aproveitar. As tarefas são super tranquilas.

Si te gusta la fiesta, la vida en la playa y además quieres mejorar tu inglés, este es un buen lugar para hacerlo. Estuve en recepción y mis tareas fueron bastante sencillas. Siempre trabajaba junto al recepcionista de turno, apoyándolo como asistente(mostrar las habitaciones, poner manillas, pasar toallas). Aunque no es una labor muy dinámica ni con muchas oportunidades de aprendizaje, el ambiente lo compensa: las instalaciones son cómodas, la comida es muy buena, puedes hacer muchas actividades, las fiestas son geniales y haras muchos amigos.

I had a lot of fun at Beach Life! Especially working at the reception with Will and Alex! They made sure I feel included and understand what tasks I have to do. Palomino is great and this experience as well (if you like to party!). Only negative point is that the facilities were not very clean (especially the kitchen for the volunteers) and when you arrive you have to figure everything out by yourself or ask other volunteers.
To make it short: It was very fun and I would recommend it if you like partying and being social! 🫶🏻🌞🌴🌊
