Gerry is a kind and slightly eccentric (in a good way) host with a lot of life experience. His warm and welcoming demeanor will put you at ease from the start. I stayed in his loft which was clean, warm and well-furnished with its own toilet and even hi-fi speakers that I could use. Gerry is a reasonable host and good communicator so whilst you should be prepared for outdoor work (lifting, sweeping etc), you will switch it up with less strenuous, collaborative tasks like fixing furniture in his home. Also he respects your working hours and gives plenty of breaks including a decent lunch break.

I had a lovely week with Jerry in his cute countryside home. After being picked up from Karlovac, he was very welcoming and I felt safe with him during my stay. I had a bedroom & toilet to myself, and while much of the small village is run-down, Jerry has done an amazing job at fixing up his home.
As an active person, I had no problems with the work: helping with gardening, diy and going for walks together in the forest. Others may find it harder, as Jerry lives a more eccentric, unstructured lifestyle.
Overall it was a great experience and I know how grateful he was for my company and help.

Hi Amelia !

As probably everyone, I always assumed that I'm somehow special, but 'till now, I didn't realise that I'm an eccentric. 😁

Thank You, if it was supposed to be a compliment. 😊

Yes, it might be unstructured lifestyle to let a guest sleep until 10, have a breakfast at 11 and start to work at 12, but I wished that You have a relaxed time here in BBC. 😉

And yes, I was really grateful for Your dear company and I hope BBC was a nice extended Croatia-vacation for You.
