ARVI SPECIAL SCHOOL for People with Disability

The ARVI Management is coordinating all the different projects, schedules and conducts weekly team meetings, plans events, and spreads knowledge about the ARVI in Social Media and other networks. If you choose to work for the management you will be responsible for documentation, writing proposals for new funding opportunities, or helping to design flyers, posters, or other promotional materials. Volunteers will be mainly working on their own and therefore have the opportunity to be creative and include their own ideas in their work.

I would like to thank Mr. Avuli for all the facilities provided in this volunteering. School hours are from 10:00 to 16:00. The distance between the volunteers' house and the school is 10 minutes walking. The house is spacious and sunny, but it didn't have Wi-Fi connection, but you can always go to school if you need to. Some weekends you will have to buy your meals, but the advantage is that India is very cheap, and you can also find restaurants and street food everywhere. At school, children carry out specific activities according to their needs, so you will support them in private classes.

A beautiful project, aimed for beautiful children, that deserve a good education, given their needs, and a certain kind of attention and care.
In my stay with Arvi Special School for People with Disability, I found a lot of kindness and care among the kids, almost like a family, those older and better equipped always there to guide those that needed more help.
I was happy to be part of this experience, and have the opportunity to contribute to a cause I have sympathized with for as long as I can remember.
Thank you for everything!
And please don’t stop doing what you are doing!

I picked Arvi special school with the best of intentions. I wanted to make an impact and get involved as much as possible. Upon arriving at the school's location, which was quite the journey, no one was expecting me, I was pointed to a bench on the side and understood I had to wait around. After about an hour they told me I was free for the day and could come back later to sleep. I want on about my day and came back, they showed me to a very basic bedroom, the next morning I went back to the school and again they had nothing for me. I felt extremely useless,. So I politely asked to leave.
