We are searching for a volunteer for 1 month or more.
Hi!
We are a family, running one of the best hostels in Sofia, Bulgaria. We are travelers ourselves so our goal is to make our hostel a comfortable and homey place to stay for people who want to discover Sofia and Bulgaria and find new friends from all over the world.
The hostel itself is a big house with capacity of 26 people. There are 3 dorms and 4 double rooms.
We need enthusiastic people to help us.
It's very important that we keep a friendly and happy environment at the hostel.
The help we need is not hard to do, but requires day-to-day attention. The main help is about keeping the place presentable and clean, getting rooms ready for the guests, watching reception and some small tasks. The robot vacuum cleaner also helps in cleaning. Usually all the tasks don't take longer than 5 hours (cleaning takes 1-2 hours the rest of the time is reception), so there's still enough time to go around. We need people who are hard workers, responsible, and friendly with good communication skills and who can work in a team.

The experience was good overall. The manager and host are kind, and the activities are not difficult — plus, there’s no pressure since the place is very calm. During my stay, I was the only volunteer, but you can meet local guests.
They provide pasta, milk, bread, and eggs so you can cook your meals, which is always helpful. There’s also access to laundry and even a dryer at certain times.
The location is good — it’s less than a 5-minute walk to the metro and also close to the tram.

I had a really nice stay at this hostel. Barthel (manager) and Alex (boss) were friendly, and always willing to help.
The place itself is cozy, perfect for relaxing.
I would recommend it to anyone visiting Bulgaria :)

My experience at "10 Coins Hostel" was very nice! The boss, Alexey, is a very kind person and always listens when you have questions. He always helps you when you need it. The work was fine; I enjoyed working there and doing things well without rushing. For me, the work was very pleasant. Thanks to Alexey and Sofia for this great experience!
