My Love Horse the shelter is really a contagious place, which makes us wake up in the morning and worry if any little the shelter is not well or sick, if it has already been fed or was warm enough. The entire space team is kind and the volunteers who arrive every day are very nice. I would really go back to this place. The work is not easy, but everyone works together and any doubts are clarified immediately. Thank you all for welcoming me so well in this place. Thank you Claire!

Thanks so much. Jhonatan was amazing! At a time where other volunteers had let us down, the work was hard but he did it with a smile. So hardworking and fun. We would welcome him again any time.

An amazing experience for anyone who loves animals and nature. Marine and Marlene are wonderful hosts, always respectful and caring. The work requires focus, responsibility, and physical effort, since dealing with animals can be unpredictable. Living with people from different cultures can be challenging at first, but it brings great learning. We had plenty of food and a great location, close to Dublin and with easy access to Galway. I recommend it for those who want real connection and are willing to fully commit.

MLHR was my first volunteer experience and it was truly unforgettable. It's a chaotic place in the best way, there's always something to do. I met amazing people, and learned to live and work around animals. The admin can be disorganized, and the house is old with water issues. Though, the animals are truly friendly, and resilient. Many of them have medical conditions or come from difficult backgrounds, so being able to spend time with them feels very meaningful, you end up falling in love with all of them. 💕 If you don't mind getting dirty and heavy work, I recommend this experience. 🤗

I spent two weeks at this farm for my first volunteering experience, and it was really great! There were a few small organization issues, but it didn't stop me from fully enjoying it. You absolutely need to love farm life, animals, and physical work, but if you do, I highly recommend this experience! 💚🐴

A casa é caótica: 30 voluntários pra 1 banheiro, cozinha pequena, cachorros circulando, pouco espaço e internet fraca, o que deixa a convivência pesada.

Volunteering on the farm has been an enriching experience! In my case, I've made many friends and have many fond memories of the farm. The managers are very friendly, and Claire, with whom we spent the most time, is a delight. However, I want to emphasize that I don't think the house is big enough to accommodate 20 or 30 volunteers with just one shower. There were too many of us; we finished work at 4:30 p.m., and the last person on the list usually showered at 8 p.m. or even later. Also, the kitchen isn't very big, and preparing dinner is very difficult when there are so many volunteers at on

This experience is not what I expected. Both other volunteers and me were treated unfairly and disrespectfully. The water went off for 5 days, and we could not shower or flush the toilet, and it contributed to a hostile environment with the hosts and unclean facilities, which was hardly sustainable with 15+ volunteers sharing one single bathroom at a time. The animals were lovely, and the contribution to the cause is remarkable, but it shouldn't be at the cost of volunteers who are trying to help, nor involve any sort of disrespect. Not a recommendable experience.

I loved my time on the farm! Working so closely with animals was such a rewarding experience! The work wasn't so hard, but was tiring in the best way. The current volunteer house isn't in the best shape (moldy bathroom, peeling linoleum) but the dorms felt clean/cozy. Beware there is only 1 shower (for at times 20+ people). I think the team would benefit from more communication, as volunteers would often be given different/conflicting info, and then be chastised for not doing things right. The work done here is so important, and I'm grateful for the experience! Would recommend applying.
