Maren and Hugo were amazing hosts! They made me feel right at home and they are so helpful if you need anything. The hotel is beautiful and the environment is so welcoming and all the staff is very friendly! I got to practice my Spanish and made close friendships. It was a really great first volunteer experience! 100% recommend!

The communication was really great from the beginning. Everything around the tasks was really clear and explained in a handbook, which gave you a lot of independence to figure things out for yourself. Maren really gave me the feeling I could ask her anything, call or text her anytime. The tasks, mainly bar work, check ins and check outs was fun and gave me the chance to socialize with different international travelers.

I had a great month at the hotel! The tasks are straightforward and instructions clear. The rota is confirmed in advance and if you have any requests these are always taken into consideration. The manager, Jack, is super helpful and patient. There are just a couple of things to bear in mind - if you don't have transport then it is hard to get around and it's a small town so there aren't lots of things to do - perfect if you're happy chilling or into wind sports though!

I really enjoyed the opportunity from Chango to join the team in La Ventana. A friendly place to call home base in a small but unexpectedly social town. The work is as agreed upon and easy to get into the routine of, rooms are comfy, beach is a 2 minute walk. Made many friends on this trip, felt a little hard to say goodbye in the best way.
