I had amazing days at the Impawsible Village. Andrea really cares about the volunteers and the dogs. The work consists mainly in clean the place, take the dogs to walk on the beach and help with the general maintenance. The sanctuary is less than 10 minutes walking from mizata beach and the dogs are adorable and easygoing. A really good breakfast is offered and you can find mini markets near the house. Thanks Andrea and Ale for this great experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at the shelter. Ale and Andrea are both really kind, supportive and easy going. The working hours were quite flexible. For example, we got up really early in the morning and were therefore able to walk the dogs before it was too hot and sunny. Apart from walking the dogs, we cleaned their space, washed them and helped to paint the walls of the house. We had a lot of free time to enjoy the beach and the hot weather. At night the dogs can be quite loud, but earplugs helped us a lot to sleep. The house is very basic but offers everything you need.

Nuestra experiencia ha sido muy buena y enriquecedora. Nos encantan los perritos y los echaremos de menos. En poco les hemos cogido mucho cariño. Hemos paseado por la playa con ellos, los hemos bañado, hemos hecho aseo en sus zonas, también hemos trabajado en un canal de agua para que no se inunde su futura zona y básicamente, estar en su día a día, dandoles amor y cariño. Gracias Andrea por ser tan acogedora y ayudarnos en todo, ya sea del proyecto como de lugares para visitar. Gracias a Alejandro por cada día de estas dos semanas. Esperamos que este proyecto florezca muy bien🌸

Hemos tenido un muy buen tiempo en este lugar con muchos nuevos amigos🐶 Nos dieron muchísima flexibilidad cuanto a los horarios y respetaron altamente nuestras necesidades (como somos vegetarianos). En genereal, todos los que se ocupan por los perros son gente muy amable y supercomprometida!😊🤯 La única cosa a la que nos tuvimos que acostumbrar eran las condiciones de la casa que por ejemplo no se tiene una ducha moderna ni lavadora etc. Pero no nos molestó altamente como nos dieron tanto cariño los perros.🥰

We spent a lot of time with the dogs! Work wise it was pretty easy, our tasks included feeding, cleaning, washing, walks to the beach and giving them medicine. We had a lot of free time which we spent on the beach. Supermarket is one hour away so we needed to plan our meals ahead, but there is little trucks passing the shelter every other day with fresh veggies and the best pineapples! Andrea is very sweet person and will help you with anything that you need. I will definitely miss the dogs, especially Ponchi and Teo ❤️

Andrea and Alejandro are both very friendly and accommodating. Things we needed were organised for us! The days usually consisted of giving medicine to the dogs, cleaning, refilling food and water, walking the dogs and washing only one of the dogs daily. Working time was usually from 8/9-12. The habitation is very simple with basic needs covered, but I never felt like I was missing something. You wash yourself with a bowl, and hand-wash your laundry. I felt like being so close to the beach was amazing, it's gorgeous! Dogs are very sweet, but barking at night can get overwhelming, be advised.

Vivimos una experiencia de mucho aprendizaje, amamos el contacto con cada uno de los perritos! Es un proyecto que está recién comenzando, por un lado, es un refugio de animales en situación de calle o maltrato, donde cada perrito puede correr, jugar y ser feliz libremente por el patio, y por otro, están comenzando a reorganizar la casa central y a construir cabañas para futuros huéspedes.Nosotros estuvimos principalmente colaborando con la remodelación de la casa, pintando el segundo piso. Andrea y Alejandro nos recibieron muy bien, gracias chicos, que el proyecto siga floreciendo con fuerza!

Una experiencia muy bella, durante nuestra estadía estuvimos colaborando en los cuidados de 10 perritos y en la remodelacion de la casa que da poquito va tomando forma. Los perritos son adorables y generan una estadía llenita de amor, en general requieren cuidados básicos a excepción de Nena, quien perdió movilidad de sus patitas traseras y requiere más atención. Convivimos con Alejandro, el encargado del proyecto, muy amable e interesante, Mizata tiene una playa linda para disfrutar y en los días libres pudimos recorrer un poco más del Salvador con ayuda de Andrea, nos vamos felices

This was a very cool experience. There was a range of work available, and while it was tough at times it was very rewarding. Be prepared to get your hands dirty and make some strong connections with some pups.
