This experience was okay. I'm glad I had it, the host is nice and welcoming. For me the city got old after about 3 days. The host was flexible which was welcomed, but he expects everyone to work one day for free and then has poor communication. Specifically in establishing / confirming scheduling changes and expectations. The hostel is well kept — clean, safe, and guests are encouraged to be respectful in many ways. It is in a great location for accessing the Theth - Valbone hike and Shkoder night life. If you're looking to really connect with travelers, expect to do it within a night.

I 100% recommend the hostel. I had a great time there, and since there weren't many guests during the winter season, I even had a private room throughout my stay. The tasks were simple: cleaning the common areas, preparing breakfast when working the first shift, and being in charge of the reception. The atmosphere was fantastic—thank you to Marsi, Elli, and Rob! And Shkoder is truly a city worth visiting if you're traveling through Albania :)

I absolutely recommend this volunteer! All the owners are very lovely, and Robert will make you feel at home with some Rakia! The work was easy sometimes, not always, but that's normal :) you normally do reception, housekeeping or cleaning. The work is fun and you have freedom to do whatever you want. Just make a good job and enjoy the hostel's vibe. The location is also perfect, and Shkoder is such a beautiful city! Very safe place, and they provide some tours :) thank you so much, I'll miss this place!

Loved my month in Shkoder and would highly recommend it to anyone! The owners and other staff are wonderful people and made me feel so welcome and comfortable from day one. The hostel is beautiful and it's a fun, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The work is straightforward and enjoyable, you'll meet so many people and make great memories. Shkoder is a cute town with lots to do, especially if you love hiking. Such a heartwarming experience and introduction to Albania, I miss it already and can't wait to come back one day ❤️ thank you guys !
