Amazing experience, around a really nice team work. Kate, Aris and Marianna are doing an amazing job with all the volunteers in the hostel. They really know how to make everyone comfortable and the hostel is definitely an experience. The tasks were always well explained and easy to be done. Lots of activities to enjoy the city and interact with each other. I spent a month and I felt it was a week… I would love to go back. Thank u so MUCH for the amazing time that I had in this lovely place. THANK YOU 🫰🏻

I had an amazing at the hostel. Aris, Kate, and Mari were really caring and exceptional. The work was not too tiresome. The hostel is also one of the best ones I have stayed at. It is social so it is very easy to meet many new people. Finally, it is located in the hostel, which I think is the most beautiful city in England.

I love this place so much! The hostel itself is probably my favourite I've ever stayed in - it's so incredibly welcoming and cosy and homely :) Everyone here is lovely - it truly is a found family and the community that Kate & Aris have built is wonderful to experience :) the hostel itself is a beautiful city, I could walk around for hours and not get bored. I'll miss the hostel so much and I will definitely be back to visit as much as I can! 💜

Aires e Kate são anfitriões incríveis, muito simpáticos e prestativos durante toda essa experiência. Propiciam um ambiente familiar, que te deixam a vontade. Incentivam a realização de atividades e dão dicas de lugares e passeios. O trabalho não é difícil e pode ser feito dentro do prazo previsto o que permite aproveitar ainda mais a cidade que é linda. Agradeço profundamente a hospitalidade e o tempo que compartilhamos. Guardarei com carinho as lembranças desse voluntário.🤗🥰

The hostel will always have a special place in my heart <3 The place and the people made me feel at home right from the first day. The sense of community is incredible and I'm so thankful for the way I could connect with so many fellow travellers - be it on one of the many planned activities or just making dinner together in the kitchen. Kate, Aris and Mari are the best hosts ever - the shifts you do are always agreed on beforehand and still leave you so much time to go out and explore or plan day trips outside of the hostel! I'm going to miss this place so much 🫶🏻

My first volunteer and hostel experience and I truly was amazed. Kate and Aris make it a community not only for travelers but for locals and workers in the city. Everyone is welcomed and treated kindly with respect. Guest and volunteers regret leaving but look forward to coming back. Thank you for the opportunity to work with you guys and continue being a blessing to everyone that steps through your door.🙏🏿

O hostel tem uma estrutura muito boa, cozinha bem equipada, sala e espaços para trabalho confortáveis. A cidade é muito bonita e tem várias atividades gratuitas. No hostel são desenvolvidas atividades como caminhadas, preparação de comida para todos, saídas para pubs. Senti as pessoas muito receptivas e pacientes. Meu nível de inglês é bem iniciante e sinto que conseguir melhorar nestes dias que estive lá, tanto com relação ao aumento de vocabulário, quando na confiança para conversar.

The hostel revived me! The hostel is as lovely as it looks on their pictures but made even lovelier by Aris, Kate and Mari. BB is managed amazingly: very organised and fair shifts, you know exactly who to ask for help and just a very inclusive and welcoming atmosphere for both guests and volunteers. You can tell that a lot of effort is put into choosing volunteers as everyone I met was so kind and colourful. All this whilst being based is the UK's most beautiful city is a real privilege. Days cycling along the canals, dips in Warleigh Weir and visits to the surrounding villages <3

Kate and Aris run the hostel in the best way possible ,there you'll be part of a community with the guests, staffs and others volunteers. The time shift is very reasonable, everyone is kind and willing to make you feel comfortable.

Volunteering at the hostel was a truly wonderful experience! The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of life. Aris and Kate go above and beyond to create a positive and friendly environment, and Mari, the manager, is absolutely amazing – always kind, helpful, and supportive. I was lucky to meet incredible people during my stay, and many of them became like family to me. The working hours are always respected, and the tasks are not too heavy. With just 18 hours a week, I had plenty of free time to explore the city and connect with guests from all over the world.
