Ich had I really nice time. I felt welcomed from the beginning. You have a car and can explore the rest of the island easily. There is plenty of time to do that. I took care of the cats and I just needed to do the feeding and cleaning in the morning and to feed them in the evening again. The rest of the day was free. The finca is pretty far from everything, but that's also kinda nice. The view over the island is beautiful. So I would definitely recommend it!

I had a very nice time at the shelter! I had a regular work routine of helping a few hours in the morning and a few in the evening, I mainly cleaned the dog and cat areas, fed them, changed the water and gave eye drops to the new kittens. I got to spend a lot of alone time which was relaxing. It's pretty far from anything but luckily they have a car you can use and you can take a bus to Los Roques and enjoy the beautiful beach in the afternoon! Myrna was very kind and is a very inspiring person who does so much for her community. I learned so much about working at an animal shelter.

Echo de menos a todos los animales con los que tuve la suerte de compartir esta experiencia, me hicieron infinitamente feliz. El trabajo es muy sencillo, donde hay que invertir tiempo es en dar amor, y eso sale solo :) Myrna y Paco son personas muy cercanas y amables que hacen un trabajo precioso y admirable, les agradezco todo. Es un lugar donde desconectar y vivir en el presente. Tener una habitación para ti sol@ me parece un lujo haciendo voluntariados, y esta era muy cómoda y te permite disfrutar siempre de tu intimidad. Fue una gran experiencia, y mi trabajo consistía en cuidar de los perros y los gatos. Los propietarios fueron muy amables y atentos. Recomiendo la experiencia. Ten en cuenta que la granja está lejos y que es un poco difícil desplazarse en transporte público.

I really enjoyed my stay at the casa of Myrna and Paco! They are such warm-hearted &open people so that I always felt welcomed. Even though Myrna is super busy she takes a lot of time for the volunteers and if you don't understand something she is always open to help you. She also offers you to show you the island (going to the beach or Teide). My tasks were basically taking care of the animals (cleaning and feeding) and of course- most importantly- give the animals lots of love. You'll have a lot of freetime which I mostly spend with relaxing in the sun and cuddling w the dogs. 10/10!!!

Mi experiencia en casa de Myrna y Paco ha sido genial ❤️ Me gustaría haber estado más tiempo, desde el primer momento te sientes muy acogida y los perritos te darán amor todo el día. También hay gatitos deseando mimos 🥰 Las tareas son muy sencillas y no ocupan mucho tiempo. Además el lugar transmite mucha paz y Myrna es la mejor anfitriona ❤️❤️

Estuve 2 semanas con Myrna, Paco y Kristel y me hubiera quedado muchísimo más tiempo, se me pasó volando! Son un amor de personas, cuidando y dando todo el cariño que pueden a todos los animales del refugio y haciendo que me sintiera como en casa No me ha faltado de nada y he estado super agusto! 😋 Los perretes te roban el corazón, y a veces también la cama, algunos te comen a besos y otros solo quieren jugar todo el día La verdad que ha sido una experiencia de vida y repetiré sin dudarlo! 10/10 Muy agradecida por todo!!! ♥️♥️♥️

I loved the experience! For those who love animals, it is undoubtedly an enriching experience and one that teaches them for life. Ann, responsible for the shelter, is always available to help and is super sweet and friendly. The only thing I think could be improved is the place where the volunteers sleep. The caravan is not incredible, but I 100% understand that the focus is on providing better conditions for the animals and they are excellent at that. Thanks for the opportunity! I loved!

Inigualable.Losanfitriones son personas generosas y bondadosas dispuestas a regalar tiempo del que no disponen para cuidar al prójimo, dan su vida para actuar contra el maltrato animal, para mejorar la calidad de vida de todos los animales que llegan a su cargo. Por lo que si pretenden venir solo para visitar la isla este no es su lugar, no porque el trabajo sea excesivo, pues el tiempo libre no es escaso, si no porque sus animales se merecen una atención que deben estar dispuestos a entregarles mediante tiempo, paciencia y amor, tal y como harían los anfitriones si dispusieran de más tiempo.

My stay with Myrna and Paco was amazing, the job was easy and pleasing as your taking care of the dogs and playing/petting them. There's a lot of them, they even have cats, birds, a turtle and puppies. Beside the job and the animal, the island is beautiful and you'll have plenty of time to discover. Myrna and Paco will give you adresses and dishes to tru, they are really lovely and I enjoyed my stay with them, I would 100% recommand them
