Great experience even if Jorge don't have is own brand yet. The mix between social works and field work is really interesting. I really had fun with Jorge and ready to come back when the first agaves are ready to harvest and taste the result of course :)

This was a great experience for me and I would repeat it without a doubt! I learned a lot from the month I was there and I made many friends that were volunteering as well as locals. The work was challenging but rewarding and Jorge was a great host and friend to me. I would recommend this to anyone looking to learn about the organization and Oaxaca in general. I wish much success to this project and deeply appreciate my time there.

This volunteering is truly an unique opportunity! There's no better way to learn about true Mexican culture than staying in a non touristic place like Miahuatlán! My working position was a bit different as I teached English to Jorge's niece and nephew and made my way to the farm only once, but nevertheless I learnt a lot about the organization and also participated in helping on the local market! Loved this experience and recommend it to anyone who is willing to work hard and is eager to learn about Mexican culture in the most authentic way possible!

The idea of ​​this project is great, Jorge is a real passionate about mezacl production and willingly shares this knowledge. How much I learned and what respect I gained for the production of the organization is hard to describe. What I like the most about this project is the contact with the local community we help, and we also show that white person also has the same problems and can also work in the same positions, not only on the buyers' side Miahuatlan is in the middle of everything, every weekend (and you have 3 days off!) You can go to Oaxaca city, San Jose or the coast, it is a definite plus.

La organización es una oportunidad para quien busca junto con el proyecto concientizar y conectar en distintos niveles: el contacto con la gente local, la concientización y reflexión sobre la importancia de nuestro actuar, la colaboración y la aportación son ejes que caracterizan el proyecto. Tuve la oportunidad de adentrarme culturalmente, de analizar y aportar con ideas; además de trabajar y colaborar, también me divertí y aprendí mucho del proceso artesanal de elaboración la organización, las problemáticas y las áreas de oportunidad que lo rodean. ¡Lo disfruté muchísimo! Jorge is truly passionate about this project! He is filled with ideas and committed to the project's success and making the experience brilliant for all the volunteers. He takes great care to get to know everyone and adapt and include additional opportunities for them to enjoy or use their skills. My role was new, and we worked together to figure everything out, and grow this element more- I learned lots !! Thank you Jorge, it was a great opportunity to be part of and I really felt at home. And also thanks to your family and friends… I really do hope to return one day :)

Really cool project! The place is far from tourism so you have the opportunity to meet the true local colture and people, but is even well connected if you wanna spend time in the close mountains or in the Oaxaca coast during the 3 days off. The tasks are often different so you never get bored plus the organization makes everything goes smooth! Jorge is an easygoing and cool person. Highly recommended!

Este a sido unos de los proyectos mas geniales en los e estado, Jorge es un tipo super divertidoo y amable, respetuosos y con quien se puede comunicar facilmente.El trabajo con el maguey es dellicado y duro pero el sabe muy bien como organizar todo para que sea un poco menos tedioso, aprendi mucho sobre el proceso de crecimiento del maguey y destilación del mezca, como el proyecto es nuevo aun hay algunos detalles que perfeccionar en la casa, pero nada extremo que resuelve rapido, donde vivimos tiene una ubicacion. altamente recomendado este proyecto

Se trabaja? Claro que sí y fuerte como es el en campo pero terminas tu día satisfecho, haces ejercicio y más importante apoyas a una causa: Proteger la organización artesanal y ayudar a la comunidad. la organización? Lógico! De la mejor calidad del mundo. Vas a aprender a beberlo con respeto. Te diviertes? Mucho y tenemos el mejor anfitrión. Con actividades extra como una clase de salsa, etc. Aprendes? Constantemente, en casa o el campo. #agave Se come bien! Generalmente en casa porque nos organizamos para cocinar y veces afuera. #tortillasislife Gracias por la oportunidad Jorge! 💚🌱
