I stayed in the Guesthouse for 3,5 weeks and had a great time, that was mostly because of the other volonteers though. The location is good, a hour walking distance to the beach (7min car ride)... The work is reasonable, mostly being maintance such as painting and helping the cleaning staff. The only "problem" is that the facilities aren't quite in tact. The car (some fuel is paid for) runs but markes noises, the shower leaks constantly; there are surfboards but only 3 truly work etc. I had a great time and you will probably aswell... Just don't expect too much

I had an amazing time at the hotel! the work is fairly easy and the hours are great. The other volunteers I lived with were amazing and I was able to connect with many people from many different places. the hotel itself is beautiful, between two great beaches. The area where volunteers stay is a bit chaotic and messy and most appliances are partially broken, as well as the wetsuits (many holes/rips) the car (on it's last leg ) There is also a missing window in one of the hallways. Despite those things the house is cozy and I always slept well and had more than enough to eat!

My stay at the hotel was truely unforgettable and one of the best travel experiences I have ever had! I feel incredibly lucky to have met such amazing people among the other volunteers and the working team!☺️ Even though the volunteer area was not in the best condition when I arrived, we were allowed to clean up a bit and it became a cozy living space! There is a breakfast provided every day, you can use the (very old) car and 4 surfboards and 4 swim suits are functional! You usually work from 10:30-14:30 in pairs with a 15 min. break. The best part is the Arrifana beach! Only 7 min. drive away🥰

I had a great time with the other volunteers and I am so gratefull for meeting them! The work at the hotel was lots of cleaning and maintenance, it was all right. What I did not like was that the volunteer area was dirty and lot of stuff was broken. On the ceiling was a lot of mold. Also there were supposed to be bikes we can use, but all of them were broken. The same with the wetsuits, surfboards and the old car. I would reccomend the hotel to repair the stuff for the volunteers, that they promised. Nonethelles, I am still very thankfull for the experience and overall had a very good time!

The guest house is very nice place! Situated in beautiful nature, near to the ocean, perfect for people, who love active lifestyle...you can ofc do surfing, running, hikes but in the the guest house is also gym and swimming pool. Other huge benefit is car in your disposal (I higly recommend you to make sure you can drive in Portugal before comming). Working hours are strictly respected. Although most of the things were perfect, there are some things that surprised me unpleasantly - bikes, surfboards and wetsuits were mostly broken, but some of them still usable. Thanks to everyone the guest house!

Hello, is a relaxing place away from the noise of a city, to recharge and surrounded by nature. I met beautiful people and lived intense moments, it was the first experience not to forget. What I gave the last hugs I understood the true essence of those moments, and where certain things can not be described but feel from what they leave inside you. A place to improve the language, a cozy place and I experienced a beautiful Christmas. of the beautiful people with whom I lived the moments to remember.Thanks for all.

The guest house is a great place to volunteer, the ocean is not too far the hours are respected and the job is not hard. It's also a good place to meet a lot of people

My experience at the guest house was amazing. the the guest house is absolutely stunning and with the car it's easy to explore the beautiful landscape. The work is easy and fair, only the area you sleep in could be renovated a little bit. Other than that I would totally recommend staying there if you want to go surfing or even just go to pretty beaches.

I had an incredible time at the guest house as well as meeting so many amazing people. I got to practice lots of languages with all the other nationalities there and having a car allowed us to go to some lovely places and do lots of surfing as it's quite remote! The work is all reasonable and really well organised so there's a nice working atmosphere and the head cleaners are lovely!
