The best experience of my Scotland! It's a great family that will always be there for you, and you'll have unforgettable moments! I highly recommend coming to this project. The work is easy, and they also offer free tours sometimes. The island is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life and I will definitely return. This was an incredible place with incredible people. Jess, the manager, genuinely cares about the well-being of her volunteers and creates a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment. Hitchhiking is necessary to explore and the town is beautiful and small. The stipend for food is a huge plus. The hostel gets busy, so sometimes we worked past set hours (once I did a task on my off day). You can use these hours for free stays at other hostels in the company. The only improvement would be a bigger emphasis on set hours or different task/time distribution. Thank you again! Recommend :)

I spent two weeks at the hostel and it was an absolutely amazing experience! The hostel is super cosy and the vibes are great. Jess and Ronan are also super nice and really create a home away from home for the volunteers. The work itself is not hard at all and the hours are fair, there is still loads of time to explore or rest. The area is stunning! The views all around the town are so amazing! The town is located quite far from the main sightseeing places, but it is very easy to hitchhike to all of these without a problem. I had the best two weeks ever! I highly recommend going!

My time at the hostel was unforgettable and an amazing first volunteering gig. The employees and other volunteers were incredibly warm and friendly, and it felt like sharing a room and work with a group of friends. The work was straightforward, and there are some days you work a little late and some days you finish early, so it balances out to the agreed hours. The grocery stipened was more than enough. With the day off and night porter shift I was able to explore the hostel by hitchhiking, but there are buses too. Kyleakin is a charming village with some pretty walks nearby! I highly recommend staying

I'm really happy that the hostel was my first volunteering experience. The work is easy and the team is incredible, which helps to create a great atmosphere. It's the ideal volunteering experience if you're looking to meet travelers from all over the world. The only downside: it's a bit far from the island's tourist spots, but by hitchhiking everything is fairly easy to get to.

This was an amazing experience. Would 100% recommend to everyone. They do family dinners about once a week which was a great way to come together and get to know everyone. I will definitely be back.

I had so much fun at the hostel. The location is beautiful and plenty to do and see in the area. Jess and Ronan were very welcoming and enjoyed spending time with all the volunteers. I would recommend staying here to anyone who wants a bit of peace and quiet.

Volunteering at the hostel was an amazing experience! The team is kind, welcoming, and super flexible. They really do their best to make sure we have the best experience possible. The tasks are simple, clearly explained, and there's always someone available to help if you have any questions. I had wonderful moments here and met people I'll carry in my heart. Highly recommended!

The hostel is a first-rate volunteer experience. Pros: Work is easy housekeeping tasks and maybe only 3 and a half hours daily. You pick up tasks quickly and everything is collaborative. Social aspect is awesome. I met loads of people from around the globe and made real memories. the hostel is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Enough said. Cons: Buses to explore the island are infrequent, serve few destinations and are overpriced. Hitchhiking is a must. Beds could be more comfortable. The grocery store being a 45 minute walk is not great.

I can't recommend the hostel highly enough. The work is straightforward and clearly explained, and the hostel itself is clean and well run. This was my first time volunteering, and I truly couldn't have asked for a better experience. The guests are all super friendly and social. It's a great place if you want to meet lots of different kinds of people from all over the world. The vibe among the volunteers and staff is amazing. Jess and Ronan really make it feel like home away from home. Thank you the hostel for found family and a life changing experience ❤️
