Amazing place to meet people from around the world.Students are also very energetic and social. Its really fun to stay together and teach. The language exchange process is also very interesting, new things to learn from locals. It was a close knit family situation where everyone stayed together in a cosy space.Thanking my host for the wonderful experience and flexible time.

I had such a nice experience and would definitely recommend this place (I stayed there for 1 month)! This is my first time solo traveling and my first time volunteering and it couldn't have been a better start! Cassia and the people at the dorm were super nice and welcoming. The work was also very fulfilling and interesting. When I needed to extend my stay by two days, because I couldn't find a hostel by the preferred date - Cassia helped me by offering that I could stay longer. And from a person who overthinks and stresses over small things this was a very cozy and relaxing experience!

It was my first ever volunteer experience and I'm so thankful for it! It felt from the first day on like home. The team was great, the work easy and fun and I made really good friends! I would definitely come again and next time stay longer :))

I recommend this experience to anyone interested in learning about Korean culture. The students are nice and I learned more from them than I expected. They are interested in meeting foreigners and to share cultural differences. It is easy to go to Seoul from the accommodation by bus or subway. I would recommend bringing your duvet cover for your comfort. Please be aware that the accommodation is a shared dorm, so you must know how to share with more people to avoid inconveniences that affect the volunteer program. Thank you, Kay and Cassia.

If you like to learn about different cultures and interact with locals as you travel, I'd highly recommend this experience since the required work here involves a lot of conversations with Koreans who want to practice speaking English. The overall work was less formal, more casual, and easier than expected. Despite being the host, Cassia didn't feel so much like a boss but rather a chill friend which made it easy for me to get along with her. The dorm also had nearby convenience stores open 24/7 which was very helpful to me and other volunteers.

I had a great time here. The dorm was very clean and a nice place to live. There were 2 bedrooms (4people each) and if you are lucky you get the top bunk :-). There were also 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, a big living room and a washing machine. My favorite was the 24hour ice cream shop on the 2nd floor. I enjoyed meeting students and new friends at the school and outside the school. This position is definitely easier if you are outgoing/extroverted but if you are not that shouldn't stop you from coming. It is in an excellent location (cca 35 to Seoul on a bus). I'm looking forward coming back.

It was hard for me to adjust at first but the host really seemed to care about me and others and it made my stay so much better then it would have been without the host. It is definitely a comfortable dorm.

The work at the Academy was really the best part of my stay. The student were really sweet and interested in sharing experiences by discussing together. It really felt like meeting and chatting with Friends ! The big negative part was that I didn't felt comfortable at the stay. The people actually working there to help volunteers didn't make me feel welcomed at all and were sometimes rude. Which is really sad because it's not the point of being a host. Unfortunately, because of the weird and heavy atmosphere I left 1 month earlier.

Hello Sandra,

Hope you're doing well. It would have been nice if you were a little bit more transparent when I looked for you to understand what happened, and maybe we could have solved the issue in person before you left with the proper maturity and better approach.
Thus, you should consider that we have tried our best to help you by taking you to the hospital more than once when you got sick, as you don't speak the local language and even being lenient and flexible with your working schedule when you were not able to work for a few days, which is not common. I hope you can have better communication with your next host, coming from both sides.

We are glad you enjoyed the conversation sessions and in any case, we wish you the best.

Thank you!
