Yappers English Language Studio

The best way to explore a country is to immerse yourself in the culture and blend in among locals!
Our language studio promotes a fun and interactive program in which the volunteers have plenty of opportunities to talk to Koreans either in the conversation sessions or in outside activities.
Our members want to practice English and expose themselves to foreigners from all over the world, exchange cultures, and hanging out to show their side of South Korea!

We have a very mixed cummunity, composed by foreigns from all around the world and koreans who lived overseas for a while, so we are not just only familiar with English and even other languagues, but also with respecting and exchanging cultures throughout your stay! Our place and staffs are very laid back and welcome to have a good relationship with people, we all wish that our volunteers have wonderful memories during their stay in Korea and we enjoy to hang out together, sometimes hosting a party in order to get along with the local Koreans and get to know each other a bit more.

I had a great experience at this English academy, mainly focused on English conversation, which really helped me improve my confidence and speaking skills.

Scarlett, the coordinator, was wonderful, very supportive and well organized, and the rest of the team and classmates were also friendly and welcoming. Overall, it was a very positive and enriching experience, and I would definitely recommend it.

I had such a great experience volunteering here! The house was really comfortable and cozy, and I felt very welcome from the first day. It is located in a good area with many shops, restaurants, etc. Scarlett, the coordinator, was amazing, always friendly, helpful, and organized, making everything super easy. The academy itself was also really nice and talking with the students is very easy and interesting. Everything about this experience was smooth and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend it to everyone!

I would have given five stars had it not been for the rude staff creating an toxic environment and gossiping behind my back. Fortunately conversations with Korean students was fun and I made dozens of new Korean friends

This was a really good experience ! Being able to speak with locals was such a great experience they were so nice and I learned so many things about Korean culture ! Being outside of Seoul is really nice to live a different experience but you are only 30min away from Seoul (Gangnam). If you organize yourself well you can have three days off and discover other cities but you have to say it in advance ! Everyone was really nice and I made so many good memories !

I really enjoyed my stay here! The work was easy enough, just having conversations with students a few hours a week and I was able to make good friendships as well! The academy is close to Seoul so it was easy to visit many places! I really loved my time with the other volunteers too; enjoying nights out, going for dinner, and having movie nights! I had initially only planned on staying here a few weeks but after having such a good time, I asked Scarlett if I could stay longer and she was nice enough to make room for me to extend my trip! Thanks again and I can't wait to come back again soon!!
