Help to run a hostel on the top of a hill near Budapest, Hungary!

This was my first volunteering and I definitely couldn't have chosen a better place! From the first day I felt very welcomed! Viktor is an incredible host! Very kind and always concerned about the well-being of volunteers! And I want to say a special thank you to Sàndor, a permanent employee at the hostel and the person who made my days even more special! He became my friend and we were able to share many moments together! They always respect working hours and always allow you to say how much is enough for you! I definitely recommend this experience for everyone!

What can I say, the best Worldpackers experience I've had so far. Viktor and his team (shoutout to Sándor) are truly amazing, we felt at home right away! Viktor is always available for everything and makes sure you feel comfortable with the work and in the house. He always asked us if we wanted to visit Budapest or Szentendre and he offered us ride to the station! The work is funny and not that hard, we mostly helped with the cleaning and we prepared the pancakes during the weekend. We had plenty of free time to relax or to explore the surroundings. Truly recommend :)

This experience was simply amazing. Viktor and Zsofi made us feel like home from the first moment. Everyone was always kind and happy to help if you had any questions. The work was easy and fun to do as you are always surrounded by amazing and fun people like Sandor, Bea and Maté. In addiction, the place is beautiful and peaceful and just 40 min by train from Budapest. I definitely recommend coming here, you will feel part of a big family 💛 I really hope to come back in the future, thanks for everything!

The hostel is in a great location on the top of a mountain. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The host was nice and caring (he gave us lifts to the city, bought us food and even took us to a local rock concert!). The experience overall was fantastic. There is a lot of hard work, but I got the weekdays free, so it compensates. The internet is unstable, but it's normal for any off grid place. When there's snow, the lakes freeze, and it's truly a winter wonderland <3 I recommend it to everyone.

It was na awesome experience! I couldn't be happier there! The place is amazing and everyone was so nice to me, really respectful and understanding. The place is far from the city so if you are going to party, don't bother hahahaha. Viktor and his wife were such nice people, and all the staff (Sandor and Beatrix mainly) are so amazing and lovely people. I had awesome snowy days during winter!! 💙

It was my first volunteering, and it was one of the best experiences I could have had, the people are incredible, the entire staff will always be attentive to anything you need, I was able to practice my English, and I met wonderful people, I was delighted with their culture, u definitely need to go

My cousin and I spent a month working here and it was the most incredible experience. We loved immersing ourselves in the local communities and nature. This hostel is in the most beautiful location and is perfect if you want to have a break from the hustle and bustle of regular city life. Viktor and all the workers were incredibly inviting and kind, and we have made so many beautiful memories with them. The work was easy and flexible and fun as well. We will always remember our time here.

This was one of the best experiences of our travels so far. This was mine and my boyfriends first world packers experience and I hope everyone gets to experience something this genuine and wholesome. From the first day we were welcomed with open arms & a warm smile, we started off as strangers and will be leaving with life long friends. The job was so easy, mostly only working Friday Saturday and Sunday but we are in the quiet season. Jobs included everything listed. Thankyou viktor, Sàndor & team for being so loving and supportive. This truley is a magical place, we'll miss the dogs too x

This place became a home for us and we had one of the nicest experiences of our journey. Viktor and the staff working at Kohëgy will make you feel part of the crew! The 24/7 contact with nature will give you the chance to rest and reconnect with what is important (to you). Keep in mind that: -The meals are cooked by you, but the food is bought by the host. -You are 1:30 away from Budapest by public transport. -The host helps you to get to the train station during your free days and is always willing to help you with any issue you might have.

Being part of this experience was the best. Since the first moment we felt part of the team. We found a home in this place, and that is priceless. Viktor is a great host, attentive to your stay, flexible about hours. Living in this park was truly amazing. Muchas gracias 😌
