Helene and Mysen team warm welcome me since first minute I arrived there. The idea for green house is amazing. I will say Helene and her family help us(travelers) more than we help them. You could choose what you prefer to do and work time is flexible and easy to manage for exploring. The travelers here are super friendly and I have chance to try different dishes and breakfast options from them. The only thing different here is - to leave. Thank you Helene and everyone makes my stay full of love ❤️.

My time in Mysen couldn't have been a better place for my first time volunteering. Helene was a great host, answering any questions I had and making sure I knew what I was doing and had the right equipment for it. The accommodation was basic but comfortable, just be prepared to get creative when cooking! The work was simple and you could start whenever you wanted as long as you get it done. The other volunteers helped make the experience even more enjoyable, and it was lovely getting to know everyone, sharing meals and spending time together. I had a great time in Mysen and hope I can return!

Haber realizado este voluntariado en Mysen ha sido una experiencia increíble y súper recomendable. Helene y su familia son personas muy amables y generosas, que me abrieron las puertas de su casa y me brindaron una estadía increíble . Las tareas fueron variadas y entretenidas junto al resto de los voluntarios. Los horarios son flexibles lo que te da mucha libertad. El ambiente es genial y pude conocer gente de muchos países. Gracias a Helene aprendí mas sobre el estilo de vida noruego. Espero poder regresar en algún momento… :)

My time in Mysen was a great experience. Helene is very kind and makes everyone feel welcome. The hours are super flexible and tasks are simple, like painting doors or walls. The house is huge with many volunteers, so it never gets boring and the community vibe is memorable. I stayed in a basement room without Wi-Fi Connection. Food could improve. Basics like pasta, rice, bread, and fries are provided, but for proper meals you'll likely need to buy extras yourself. Helene is open to requests and will provide what she has. The more volunteers, the harder it gets to cook real meals.

La experiencia en Mysen superó por completo mis expectativas. Fue maravilloso poder compartir tanto con los demás voluntarios como con Helene. Helene es una magnífica anfitriona, está pendiente de todos y se preocupa por hacer sentir cómodos a todos. Con respecto al trabajo se respetan las horas de trabajo a la perfección, además, los horarios y las tareas son flexibles y se puede aprovechar el tiempo libre para otras actividades. Fue una muy agradable experiencia como voluntario, la recomiendo sin duda!

I've had an amazing time in Mysen. Helene is a nice person with an open ear for any problems and the other volunteers made the time truly magical. The work was easy and consisted mostly of painting doors, windows or walls. Food is provided but depending on how many volunteers there are it can run thin, so you have to get creative or buy your own stuff. The town is very small so there are not much things to do but with the other volunteers around you never get bored. You can get to Oslo by train in around an hour, which makes it easy to explore on days off.

I would definitely recommend this experience. The location is great, the host is so kind, and I had the chance to meet incredible volunteers from all over the world. The work is not hard, and Helene is always great at explaining everything. I consider the exchange to be a very fair deal. And be prepared to enjoy some delicious homemade bread! I was able to work on my personal projects while volunteering, and I felt completely at home doing so.

Tuve una muy buena experiencia como voluntaria en Mysen. Helen es comprensiva y flexible con los horarios de trabajo lo que me permitió organizar bien mi tiempo y también disfrutar de los alrededores. La familia de Helen es muy amable y nos permitieron alojarnos en su departamento en Oslo. Conocí a otros voluntarios geniales y compartí muchas risas e inolvidables momentos que recordaré siempre . Le agradezco a Helen la oportunidad para colaborar, aprender y al mismo tiempo disfrutar de una buena experiencia cultural.
