Hello, I want to greet everyone who takes the time to read this message. My first experience as a volunteer was in this beautiful place, the hostel. I truly want to thank the people with whom I shared this experience. Thank you Mayra, thank you René, thank you Oliver, thank you Marian, and thank you to everyone who made this place my home. I connected with nature. I had the opportunity to see the wildlife of the hostel National the hostel firsthand, and I definitely had an experience I'll remember forever.

Alejandro volunteered with us at Kruger Park Hostel for one month as our cook, and his contribution was nothing short of exceptional. His food was consistently outstanding—creative, flavorful, and always prepared with care. Beyond his culinary talent, Alejandro brought warmth and positivity to the team, making him an absolute pleasure to work with. We are grateful for his time with us and wish him all the best in his future endeavors!

My time at the hostel was incredible. From the very first day, it was like being at home! The staff and hosts are so lovely and chatty, the hostel is very community and family oriented, and the location /safaris are so serene. The other volunteer, Alejandro, was super sweet and working with him along with the hosts was so fun and rewarding; I learnt how to make yoghurt and a traditional South African snack, rusks. In terms of workload, it's easy going and if you time manage well, you can do it all quite quickly so you have more of the day to chill and socialise with the hostel guests.

The hostel combines everything you could want for volunteering. It's surrounded by amazing nature&animals, it's super cozy & the shifts are more than fair&accommodating. I learnt so much during my stay & got to experience so many new things - this place is easy to fall in love with. It can get a tiny bit chaotic at times, but that only adds to the charm. You'll find some of the nicest people working here, who love sharing laughs&stories & I truly felt like part of a family. I already miss the hostel&its people and would recommend it without any doubts.❤️

My stay here was truly amazing. The hostel is very nice and clean, and you get to meet people from all over the world. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful. I went on several game drives and saw some of the beautiful animals and stunning nature that the hostel has to offer. The sunsets and sunrises were also among my favorite parts of the stay. The work was very manageable and fair, with clear expectations and a good balance between tasks and free time. I would highly recommend it to anyone!

Essa semana dúvida foi uma das minhas melhores experiências em um voluntariado. Mayra, Rene, Marion e Oliver nos acolheram como parte de sua família, não posso deixar de mencionar também os Staffs que trabalham com eles que são pessoas incríveis e maravilhosas. Sobre as tarefas, é algo muito tranquilo, o horário é respeitado e nada exigido além do que pedem. Eles oferecem alguns passeios locais, fizemos alguns safaris e te digo que vale ir em toda oportunidade, a natureza pode te surpreender a cada dia. Por fim, deixo aqui meu agradecimento e indicação pra esse lugar incrível maravilhoso. ❤️

Foi uma ótima experiência, perfeito como meu primeiro voluntariado internacional. Tive a oportunidade de conhecer muita gente, de falar muito inglês e pra mim isso é bem importante. A rotina é tranquila, apesar de acordarmos muito cedo, os passeios começam às 5h ou 5h30, então todos costumam dormir cedo e acordar cedo. Adorei o René e a Mayra, eles são incríveis. E o Robert <3, o guia do hostel, ele é um amor e sempre explica tudo com o maior carinho. Vou sentir saudades! O wifi não funciona no quarto, só nas áreas comuns, isso me dificultou um pouco para editar os vídeos e postar.

And haha yes, the Wi-Fi not working in the rooms is on purpose gotta keep that social vibe alive! But don’t worry, we’ve got a small workstation (screen, keyboard, mouse) or the classic poolside Wi-Fi if you need it!

I cannot recommend this experience more! The whole team of Mayra, Rene, Truddy, Oliver, Marion, Robert, Ennie, and more were absolutely incredible. What a beautiful place to be for 5 weeks. I saw zebras everyday, and got to go on so many amazing free excursions. The work is very laid back and the hosts are super flexible. I feel KPH is the perfect place for volunteers that want to experience wildlife and make new friends in a beautiful corner of the world. You won't regret volunteering here!

My first experience as a volunteer and I couldn't have been luckier. The place is incredibly beautiful, immersed in nature, with life everywhere. The facilities are good and cozy. The staff is engaged and extremely welcoming. Extra activities at the hostel and also the possibility of several tours. There is environmental awareness and a real concern for the animals. Thank you for everything the hostel and team, you are incredible and have become my new home in South Africa. I hope to see you again one day! 🇿🇦✨️

The hostel was an amazing place to stay and work at. All the people where so kind and fun to be around, made the experience wonderful! Being around the wild animals was a dream come true. The availability of game drivs and other fun activities was great and there was always something fun to do!! I really recommend.
