Staying with Shiva's family was one of the most memorable experiences of my travels. Everyone was kind, welcoming, and treated us like family. I became close with the older son，he's funny, talented, and always creative. The younger son is adorable and full of energy, and their mother took amazing care of us with delicious food and thoughtful support. I also joined their activities, went to the gym, and met many locals. This was my first volunteer experience, and I truly recommend everyone to stay here and experience their warmth and beautiful culture！🥰🥳

I stayed around 6 days at Shiva's house, and the family welcomed me in such a warm and kind way! The food was authentic and absolutely delicious. I had my own private room, and they even offered me a free city tour. It was a beautiful experience perfect if you want to connect with locals and enjoy a truly local experience.

I really enjoyed my time here! The family were so welcoming and it really felt like home away from home. Helping the youngest son, Siddhartha, with his homework, a 4-day trek, and Sharmila's cooking were the highlights - her dal bhat is incredible. The only thing I'd say is communication wasn't always the clearest in terms of volunteering and also payment - make sure you have the money ready on the first day. But I truly made amazing memories here :)

Una familia encantadora, no tengo dudas que volvere en algun momento, para poder compartir mas vivencias con todos, ademas de realmente hasta en situaciones externas dificiles, ellos siempre te hacen sentir seguro en su hogar y realmente les gusta enseñar desde lugares turisticos encantadores hasta actividades y zonas completamente locales y que ayudan a una inmersion total en una vida de familia Nepali. Muy contento y orgulloso de haber sido parte. Lo recomiendo para absolutamente todos!

Staying with Shiva and his family was a wonderful experience. Everyone was warm and welcoming, and the daily dal bhat was always delicious. We even made momo together, which was so much fun and tasty! During my stay, I joined the city walking tour and learned a lot about Nepali culture, and also went on the Langtang trek. Even though the weather didn't allow us to reach the top, it was still an amazing adventure, and Shiva was such a professional guide. I am very grateful for everything, my time in Nepal was truly joyful, and I highly recommend this experience to other travelers.

For me, it was a beautiful experience. This family welcomed me in a warm and kind way. I really enjoyed going on hikes and tours with Shiva, and I truly felt immersed in the Nepali culture everything felt very local. I had plenty of space and comfort, and Shiva and his family were incredibly helpful and available. I recommend this experience to anyone who wants to live something authentic, get to know a sweet and welcoming family, and have an excellent guide for their treks, hikes, and tours. I really enjoy the time spend with Shiva's family. Very kind and friendly family. I really appreciate the time and all help received during that time. The walking tour with Shiva is also a wonderful experience to explore Kathmandu but also the unique, less known places. Can highly recommend it!

I had a memorable time staying with Shiva and his warm family. His wife makes delicious dal bhat, and the walking tour was a highlight—so much insight into Nepali culture and history. I wasn't sure if I could handle a Himalayan trek, but Shiva's gentle encouragement gave me the confidence to try. I invited a friend, and we ended up completing the 7-day Langtang trek, reaching 4400m! It was an unforgettable experience. So grateful for the support and inspiration.

No words can describe how great my time at Shiva's place was. I am really grateful about every minute spent with every member of the family. They are all kind and will definitely make you feel part of the family. Enjoying nature, local culture and the most delicious food ever was an unforgettable experience.
