Una familia encantadora, no tengo dudas que volvere en algun momento, para poder compartir mas vivencias con todos, ademas de realmente hasta en situaciones externas dificiles, ellos siempre te hacen sentir seguro en su hogar y realmente les gusta enseñar desde lugares turisticos encantadores hasta actividades y zonas completamente locales y que ayudan a una inmersion total en una vida de familia Nepali. Muy contento y orgulloso de haber sido parte. Lo recomiendo para absolutamente todos!

La experiencia en casa de Shiva ha sido genial. He aprendido muchísimo sobre la cultura local y la colaboración ha sido armoniosa. Shiva está abierto a nuevas ideas y hace muy fácil la dinámica. Por otro lado, su familia es encantadora. Sus dos hijos son geniales (maravillosos los momentos jugando con Siddhartha y muy enriquecedoras las conversaciones con Sabinaya). Sarmila, su esposa, es amable y siempre estaba pendiente de que estuviéramos bien, dejándonos también nuestro espacio y preparando platos absolutamente deliciosos. Muchísimas gracias a todos, de corazón, y hasta la próxima 🙏🏻.

Estuve muy bien con Shiva, su familia es genial y muy acogedora, nos lo pasamos genial y gracias a él ha sido mejor la experiencia de cruzar al otro lado del mundo. Se lo recomiendo a todo el mundo

I found the facilities and the accommodation to be decent. However, the experience did not function as an active volunteering experience, but more like a paid homestay. During my time, there were no clearly defined volunteer tasks or ongoing needs. Despite asking, I was not required for photography, videography, or other forms The host also requested payment early in the stay, which reduced flexibility and led to an uncomfortable disagreement when I later wished a change of plans. I would recommend very clear communication in advance regarding expectation of tasks and payment.

Staying with Shiva's family was one of the most memorable experiences of my travels. Everyone was kind, welcoming, and treated us like family. I became close with the older son，he's funny, talented, and always creative. The younger son is adorable and full of energy, and their mother took amazing care of us with delicious food and thoughtful support. I also joined their activities, went to the gym, and met many locals. This was my first volunteer experience, and I truly recommend everyone to stay here and experience their warmth and beautiful culture！🥰🥳

I stayed around 6 days at Shiva's house, and the family welcomed me in such a warm and kind way! The food was authentic and absolutely delicious. I had my own private room, and they even offered me a free city tour. It was a beautiful experience perfect if you want to connect with locals and enjoy a truly local experience.

I really enjoyed my time here! The family were so welcoming and it really felt like home away from home. Helping the youngest son, Siddhartha, with his homework, a 4-day trek, and Sharmila's cooking were the highlights - her dal bhat is incredible. The only thing I'd say is communication wasn't always the clearest in terms of volunteering and also payment - make sure you have the money ready on the first day. But I truly made amazing memories here :)

Staying with Shiva and his family was a wonderful experience. Everyone was warm and welcoming, and the daily dal bhat was always delicious. We even made momo together, which was so much fun and tasty! During my stay, I joined the city walking tour and learned a lot about Nepali culture, and also went on the Langtang trek. Even though the weather didn't allow us to reach the top, it was still an amazing adventure, and Shiva was such a professional guide. I am very grateful for everything, my time in Nepal was truly joyful, and I highly recommend this experience to other travelers.

My experience with Shiva's family was amazing, place is really clean, there is hot water, neighbourhood is calm and food IS AMAZING. They are really helpful and nice. Highly recommended!!!
