This is a kind of volunteering that I suggest to have a work home job at the same time. You have a 5 hours shift, but takes only 40 min. to do your tasks. It's not a busy hostel, so they need you just to be there. The only positive points, you have a couple of things free (Eggs, bread, pasta, rice, sauce), it's easy to go to the city center and Barthel is kind.

Fue mi primer voluntariado y la experiencia fue increíble! Siempre todos dispuestos a ayudar y explicar las tareas. En el hostel compran comida para los voluntarios como pan, frutas, huevos, fideos, y algunas cosas más lo que me sorprendió y la verdad es muy amable de parte de ellos! Asya es una señora que vive ahí permanentemente y conocerla fue una de las cosas más lindas, ella es un amor. Toda mi experiencia fue muy linda, recomendado✨

A very quiet hostel to work at! Each shift has allocated cleaning tasks, but once those are done you can hang out in the reception area. It's an older building and has its quirks, but is clean and comfortable. Very close to the metro that makes it easy to see Sofia on your time off.

Since it was my first experience, it was good. You can feel very welcome and respected. Asya one of the guest she's always there and you can have fun with her and also helping her cook, she's like the grandma of the hostel. It feels very familiar and you all the time end up having a good relationship with all the volunteers and also with Bartol the supervisor:) you have a lot of free time to do whatever you want around the city or at the hostel. I think if you need to rest a little from all your tiring trips, this is a great option to consider.

My experience at the hostel was great! The volunteers' schedules are well divided and the work is not difficult. The hostel is not in the center of Sofia, but it is easy to get there by metro (there is a station nearby, a 5-minute walk away). They provide basic food items such as bread, eggs, lentils, milk, oats, tea, coffee, etc. If you want something extra, you can buy it at a market close to the hostel. My experience was very peaceful.
