We are starting up a new hostel in June with a concept of a social hostel where we organise events and make sure everyone is having a good time, both guests and volunteers. Also, we have a bar in the common area now :)

We offer our volunteers free accommodation, free food, free pub crawls (that we run) and also discounts on out hostels' bars.

We run many hostels in Tallinn. At the moment we have another social hostel and during summertime around 10-15 volunteers usually. Regarding staff, there are people who come for a month (ideally the minimum time) and many stay for a more extended period.

I had a great time at Imaginary and Estonia, two months sharing life in a cozy and fun hostel. The work is pretty chill in the wintertime, not many beds to make and only three days of work per week, which leaves plenty of free time. They provide all the ingredients to make your own food every day, and also €10 per day for a volunteer to prepare dinner, which helps a lot. Overall, a 10/10 experience.

My only complaint is about the volunteers beds, they’re made of very cheap metal and make a lot of noise when someone moves.

I enjoyed my time at imaginary hostel the tasks are easy and you have a lot of free time to discover around or meet new people. The members of the stuff are friendly and was a good group of volunteers.

This was my first volunteering experience and it was amazing. I worked only 3 days a week, which gave me a lot of free time to explore Tallinn and travel around Estonia. The hostel is located right in the Old Town, so everything is close and easy to reach.
The work is very easy and well organized: preparing beds for check-ins and keeping rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and the kitchen clean and tidy. Many times you can even finish earlier.
Polina is super kind, fun, and flexible, and working with her really feels like being at home. I totally recommend this volunteering :)

I had so much fun at Imaginary! It was a great experience and it was amazing to meet so many different people from around the world. Polina is a great host and employer, and working for her was a lot of fun. I'd definitely recommend Imaginary for future travelers:)

My experience at Imaginary was fabulous. I had a really great time there, and Polina was a fantastic host, almost like a friend. She was really easy to get along with and the work hours were quite flexible as well. Given that the hostel is right in the old town, you felt as though that you were stepping into a charming medieval fairytale. I'm also grateful for the few friends that I've made there and I'll come back sometime in the future. I'll miss this place and aitäh!!
