Overall, I had a great experience. I enjoyed my fellow volunteers and time spending meeting other travelers. I think my only issue was management. I think management needs to improve their attitude towards volunteers. I've had guest come to me saying they thought we were being overworked and the manager was being rude to them.

Oh my, I cannot describe in words how much LOVE I have for this place. The hostel is clean, super well located, has nice common areas, etc. but what REALLY makes the difference is the people. Everyone is so loving, caring, social and fun. From manager (love you Mel🩷), to all the other staff (receptionists, fellow volunteers, cleaning staff), to hostel guests. I felt home so soon and it was incredibly hard to leave. Thanks for amazing parties, great hugs & conversations, and all the friends I made!🥰 My advice to you: stop overthinking and move your ass to the hostel Porto, you won't regret it!!🥳

This was the most amazing experience ever!! I have loved every single second of my stay at the hostel. I met a ton of AMAZING people, both staff and guests, and we really became a little family. Melanie is an amazing manager and very good at communicating the tasks. She is super helpful if you need anything. The location of the hostel is amazing and everything is like a 10-15 min walk away. The work is pretty easy and I did 3-4 shifts a week. If you are a social person you will absolutely LOOOVE this hostel and city!!! Would recommend a thousand times over

This was my first volunteering experience and also my first time staying in a hostel and I couldn't be happier with my stay. The staff members and other volunteers were all very friendly and welcoming, and because of how social the hostel was it was super easy to make friends and get to know the guests. The work was very easy and let you have bunch of free time every week. I would recommend this hostel if you love to party and socialize :)!

My stay at this hostel was better than i could have ever imagined. The work was fair and as agreed upon. The guests were interesting and fun, there was always something new to do. The other volunteers were amazing and made my experience even better. Mel, the manager is very nice and makes you feel welcome. If you are social and you like to party, this hostel is a perfect choice for you! I miss you all so so much!!<3

I love this placee, it's perfect for people that love to party and be social! The start is hard, I personally felt a bit unwanted but at the end its become amazing with so many memories that I will cherish forever. The hours and job you do is clear and the room is just a normal dorm for the staff which is great. Thank you for everything everyone, and thank you bel for always being a kind face <3 love you piper and melanie

My 6 weeks in Porto were indescribable. The team truly cares for the volunteers and the work hours are respected and the tasks required are simple. I found myself with so much free time to explore the city. I would recommend the hostel to everyone. Thank you so so much to all the friends I made. I'll keep these memories with me forever.

This was my first volunteering experience in a hostel and I truly loved it. From the very first day I felt welcomed and part of the hostel. <3 Big thanks to you Mel, Amil, Bel and all the lovely staff members Alies, Piper, Maria, Arvid, Mar, Jess, Yana, Mimi and many more who made my stay here memorable and so fun! The work consists mostly of socialising and partying so be ready for the time of your life. I will miss this place so much and definitely gonna come back. See you soon! :)

The month I spent in Porto has been the greatest month ever! I remember the surfing days at the beach, the sunsets at Jardim do Morro 🌅… The schedule is flexible and just as promised, so you have enough time to enjoy the city on your own if you want to too. Plus everyday we did a group activity and that helps you connect with the guests and make friends from around the world 🌎. Special shout-out to my mates Yana Elena Jess Piper Alies Melanie and Arvid, and of course to Mel and Bel for making it feel like home❤️ More than grateful
