Volunteering at the hostel was an incredible experience from start to finish. This is the greatest volunteer opportunity in Edinburgh with the most flexibility and balance. I absolutely plan to return. Thank you!

It's my second experience here and I simply love this city! The location is perfect, we have breakfast buffet and plenty of free time. It's super flexible and the tasks are easy. There are so many thinks to do in the city and this volunteering is the perfect balance between traveling, experiencing cultural exchange, improving/ learning a language and making friends. Ryan (manager) is so friendly and kind, and so is the rest of the team 🤍

The hostel is the peak volunteer experience! So much free time provided that it gives you a lot of freedom to shape your own visit in beautiful Edinburgh. Tasks and hours are a good amount. Location is extremely central and easily accessible. Dorm is very cozy. The staff are helpful and open-minded. I was also lucky to be in a great group of volunteers that had a lot of fun together, looking out for each other and doing activities outside of work. I absolutely loved my stay and this experience taught me so much. Would be so happy to come back in the future!

The hostel is in a great spot in the center of Edinburgh, surrounded by many beautiful places, and the city is full of amazing views. Ryan is super nice and kind, he is always trying to make the place run smooth and caring about the volunteers. The tasks are quite easy, the intensity depends on the amount of guests in the hostel. I had around 4 days free day which is enough to rest and know Edinburgh. Also there's some breakfast and discounts on the food of the bar. The only downside is there not much space for yourself, I sorted that out going to Edinburgh's beautiful parks. Thank you!

I feel really lucky and grateful to have been in the hostel as they provided everything as promised. We were provided with free breakfast, free laundry, and a clean space to be in. The shifts felt fair and our time was respected, and the people I've worked with have been nothing short of kind, understanding, and helpful. This experience, especially during the Fringe, made me fall in love with Edinburgh. I'll definitely have to come back <3

The hostel was a great first volunteering experience for me. The staff and other volunteers made it such a great experience. The work tasks aren't difficult and we were only given 3 shifts a week which gave us plenty of days to explore beautiful the hostel even go on day trips to explore more of Scotland. I would definitely recommend the hostel as a place to volunteer.

I had a great first experience at the hostel! I found the workload to be clear and reasonable and definitely felt more like a volunteer than a staff member. What I most appreciated was getting 4 days a week free to be on my own time and explore more of Scotland! The only thing to note was that the main common area is the bar room which wasn't always ideal for me personally- but there is a terrace space as well if it is nice out!

I had an amazing time at the hostel the Staff and other Volunteers made this experience truly unforgettable. Its quite a busy hostel, it can be a lot of work on the days you are on but you get lots of days off to make up for it. As my first volunteer experience, I loved it. It helped me improve my English, enhance my work skills, and connect with people from other countries. The staff was very kind and patient in giving work instructions. I would definitely come back to the hostel.
