I had a great time at the hostel. The Staff was super nice and helpful and I was able to make great friendships with the other volunteers. However, I do recommend knowing some Spanish there because that helped me a lot there. Work was nice and I was able to explore the surroundings of the hostel which was wonderful. I recommend it for sure!

Minha experiência no República Hostel foi muito legal! Fui bem recebida , o hostel é bem localizado , no centro da cidade, eu fui bem recebida e me senti em casa. Queria deixar um agradecimento especial a galera do Staff. Tanto a galera da recepção, tanto as cozinnheiras, camareiras e manutenção, todos sempre pacientes e prontos a ajudar ! Agradecer também ao Eduardo por todo suporte ,desde a fechamento do voluntariado até aqui , encerro esse ciclo com gratidão e deixando um até breve !

Meu tempo no hostel foi incrível! Edu, o gerente dos voluntários é muito boa onda e a comunicação com ele é super fácil. O trabalho é tranquilo, os horários são respeitados, a staff super acolhedora e eu tive a sorte de estar com uma equipe de voluntários simplesmente perfeita! Fora isso, o hostel é lindo, confortável e muito bem localizado. Ótimo pra fazer amizades e se divertir! o hostel e o hostel moram no meu coração pra sempre! ♥️

República Hostel in the hostel is a beautiful place to volunteer at. The staff are very nice and the work isn't too complicated. Sometimes the schedule might seem a bit rough, but if you simply voice your concerns you will see that Eduardo is very flexible. I really loved the other volunteers I was working with and made some great friends! In general, it's a hostel were many backpackers come to which makes it easy to meet new people and make friends! Unfortunately though, as a woman, I didn't feel safe in the city which is why I had to cut my volunteering short.

This was my first volunteer experience and was amazing, the hostel is in a privileged location that will all you to see everything around the city, They complied with everything agreed to the letter and offer very good benefits, the staff and the other volunteers were also amazing here you will find awesome vibes, I would definitely would like to come back at another time

Staying at República Hostels was an amazing experience and I had the best time! This is my second time coming back to volunteer at República and I absolutely loved my time in Cartagena. Everyone on the team and Roger, the volunteer manager are very welcoming and will immediately integrate you. The workload and tasks are pretty easy to follow and you have quite some free time to explore Cartagena. I learned new tasks , like making cocktails while working at the bar this time which I appreciate. Overall, I 100% recommend this experience!

Everyone was very welcoming in the hostel and the hostel is very beautiful! Despite a total lack of information and guidance at the beginning of my stay, the energy with the other volunteers made my stay here unforgettable. The problems that we faced in the kitchen work due to a lack of organization and kitchen leader were quickly fixed by Julián when I discussed this with him. I hope this hostel continues to grow and improve experiences for volunteers like I felt it did during my 2 week stay! This is a very social hostel and I felt very respected by all the staff thank you!!!

It was a good experience. The south was so lovely. Can you get to know a lot of people most of all are from Colombia but you can find those tourist so you can practice both English and Spanish.
