I absolutely loved my stay at the hotel! The owners Chris & Ben are so kind and welcoming, the whole team is just class and always down for great craic. The volunteer room is a bit small, but during the week usually you get to sleep in the guests rooms, which was a huge bonus for me. I will say it is probably more worth it to be a regular volunteer, because as the yoga instructor you end up having almost the same amount of work as the others, but in addition also need to teach multiple classes on the weekends. Either way, the work tasks are completely reasonable && would 100% recommend!

Hey Gina, glad to hear you enjoyed the vibe here and got along with the team.

Just to clear things up for anyone reading this.. all our roles, including yoga instructors, involve a mix of teaching and general daily tasks, which we’re upfront about from the start. That way, everyone pitches in and the workload stays fair. Whilst the yoga instructors tasks are typically more varied, the hours work out as the same as other volunteers. Most times even less.

Loved my experience at BigStyle! All the staff and volunteers were really kind and there was not a single day when I would not feel welcome. The work itself is easy and all the perks like sauna, surf and yoga lessons are absolutely worth it. I won't forget the stunning views and the most relaxing summer break I've ever had. I would definitely have stayed longer if I could <3

I had the absolute best time at the hotel. It was my first volunteering experience and now I'm scared that the bar has been set too high and no other place will ever be this good! The location, lodge and people were all amazing and I actually wish I had stayed longer because I was really enjoying my time there. Paco, Paddy and Tori were all really attentive, kind and fun and I had a great time getting to know them and the other volunteers. Highly recommend this experience <3

I was met with kindness, warmth, and space to simply be myself. Arrived open and curious, but left with a full heart and deep gratitude - the journey that inspired me in ways I didn't expect. To Paco, Paddy, Luke, and Tori, and to all the loveliest volunteers - you made this experience so, so incredibly special. Thank you with all of my heart, for making me feel at home! I'd truly love to return someday and experience it all over again.

Absolutely loved my time at the hotel and would highly recommend to anyone that is thinking about signing up! All the employees are super lovely and easy to approach, work load is exactly as explained and very easy to get through. All the other volunteers were lovely and the hotel felt like home away from home:)

BigStyle and the staff there were absolutely amazing! This experience has been once in a lifetime. I couldn't recommend more! The facilities are incredible, the view is stunning and the people are so much fun! If i could've stayed longer I totally would have.

This was an incredible experience. The staff were really helpful and made sure that you knew what to expect. The hours were respected and the work was easy. The volunteer group was also really fun and we had time to do any activities that we wanted. Overall, it was such a nice experience, filled with good vibes, great people and activities. I would definitely do it again!

I really had the best time at BigStyle! The staff was incredibly kind and friendly, and the other volunteers felt like a second family to me. The work was exactly as agreed — manageable and relaxed — leaving plenty of time to enjoy everything around. The Lodge is in a perfect location if you want to connect with nature, and there's so much to do! You can surf, hike, or explore the breathtaking places nearby, and the staff is always there to help and support you. I honestly couldn't have asked for anything more. I left a piece of my heart in Killadoon. <3

The hotel is an amazing spot set in a stunning urban area. If you're looking to relax, enjoy nature, and learn to surf, you're sure to have a fantastic time. Just so you know, there isn't much to do in Killadoon. But if you're up for hitchhiking , you'll have the chance to explore charming Irish villages and beautiful natural with a bit of effort. I had a great time and would definitely recommend it.

I had the most wonderful time at the hotel! The work was great and we had plenty of time to surf, swim, do yoga, use the sauna and explore the area. This was a perfect place to learn how to surf. The staff was amazing and I made some great friends! It's a beautiful place to relax and enjoy nature, I would definitely recommend. Thanks for everything, I'm really gonna miss this place and the people <3
