My stay at the home exceeded all my expectations. The place is truly magnificent and peaceful — a perfect destination for those who want to be close to nature and learn more about Irish culture. Noreen is an amazing woman with great sense of humour, a kind heart and remarkable culinary skills — I enjoyed every meal. It was a pure pleasure to her her around the house. The tasks were simple and the workload was fair. We had plenty of time to explore the area by bikes — there lots of places to visit and trails to walk. The best workaction and volunteer experience I could dream of 🥰

My experience at the home has bene my first experience as a worldpacker and my first solo trip. I was a little bit scared at first, but everything changed when I saw the beauty of this place. Noreen was lovely to me and also I fell in love with her dog. The working hours are relaxed and flexible and Noreen always takes care to cook good food and share anecdotes about the local culture. I was lucky to attend to local talks in the library, so I had a full immersion in the irish coutryside. I loved my first experience!

Noreen is a lovely person. She helped me to improve my English. She also introduced me to Irish culture by taking me everywhere with her. So I learned to play Whist, learned to dance, went canoeing...) The house is in the countryside, but you have access to a bike to go to the nearest village. She is very accommodating, she can drop you off at the train station even in the middle of the week. During my stay I did a lot of gardening and DIY. I also discovered her adorable dog Murphy, whom I walked every day. I will miss her a lot, it was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend it!

Volunteering at the home was a great experience! Noreen, our host, is lovely and always available to help us. The house is a welcoming environment, and the work is well-divided, we helped with gardening and also cleaning inside the house. It's the perfect place to practice English and learn about Irish culture with Noreen. And Murphy, the dog, is adorable, we'll miss her so much! I highly recommend this experience, I loved it!

Noreen has welcomed us into her home as if we were part of her family; she is delightful. For personal reasons, Haizea and I have to leave, otherwise, we would be more than happy to stay here.

The host is a kind person, and the location of the house is very beautiful. However, the experience had several negative aspects. The house is extremely cold, and the food provided was mostly expired or spoiled, which made the stay quite difficult. Additionally, when we arrived, we had to wait in the cold for an hour and a half. Another downside was the location, as the nearest supermarket is more than an hour away by bike, and we could only go when the host already had a trip to the city planned, with very limited time.

I am sorry to hear now that you didn't like your stay. The food was out of the freezer. Yes we do live in a very rural area. And it is winter in Ireland.
