Conlán House

Come join us at our charming country house nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Killanure! We're seeking volunteers to assist with a variety of tasks including pruning trees and shrubs, weeding flower beds, and painting timber fencing. In exchange, we offer comfortable private accommodation, three delicious meals a day, free laundry, and access to our fully equipped kitchen and bicycles.

You'll have the opportunity to participate in fun activities like dancing, kayaking, and card playing. Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity to experience the beauty of rural Ireland while making a meaningful contribution to our home!

Staying with Noreen was such a lovely experience! She went above and beyond, even taking me to traditional Irish singing circles and a class for Irish set dancing. Her home and the peaceful countryside were beautiful, and I loved spending time with Murphy (the cute dog)! The work was easy and flexible, and I had great chats with Noreen, who’s so friendly and welcoming. A perfect mix of meaningful work, culture, and relaxation! I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a true taste of Irish hospitality.

Noreen is truly one of the nicest people I've met! The work is not hard at all, and it was really enjoyable to get outside and walk in the Irish countryside. Murphy (the dog) was one of the best parts. She is the sweetest dog that loves everyone. Noreen took me Irish dancing, Irish music listening and storytelling. It was a wonderful experience! I had a wonderful experience at Conlahn House. Noreen was a very welcoming host and made me feel at home from the beginning. During my stay, I learned new things, improved my English, and had the chance to join cultural activities that she kindly included us in. My stay at Conlán House exceeded all my expectations. The place is truly magnificent and peaceful — a perfect destination for those who want to be close to nature and learn more about Irish culture. Noreen is an amazing woman with great sense of humour, a kind heart and remarkable culinary skills — I enjoyed every meal. It was a pure pleasure to her her around the house. The tasks were simple and the workload was fair. We had plenty of time to explore the area by bikes — there lots of places to visit and trails to walk. The best workaction and volunteer experience I could dream of 🥰

My experience at Conlan House has bene my first experience as a worldpacker and my first solo trip. I was a little bit scared at first, but everything changed when I saw the beauty of this place. Noreen was lovely to me and also I fell in love with her dog.
The working hours are relaxed and flexible and Noreen always takes care to cook good food and share anecdotes about the local culture.
I was lucky to attend to local talks in the library, so I had a full immersion in the irish coutryside.
I loved my first experience!
