Ayuda a cosechar café en Sacatepéquez, Antigua Guatemala!

The work is very simple, it can be anything from helping at Kevin's home to garden work when there's no work at the coffee farm. The working hours varies, but can be discussed. The town itself is very small but charming, the bus ride to Antigua is around 20 min. The house is very primitive, but with great people around, Kevin and his family are one of the most generous people I've ever met! <3

I loved my stay with Kevin & his family! I felt so welcomed and comfortable (especially as a solo female traveller & being the only volunteer there at the time!😊) The work was enjoyable and easy, I stayed here outside of coffee season so my days involved plant watering, cleaning the floors & I also helped out a little at his sisters plant store! On my day off we went on a sunrise and waterfall hike which was amazing!! Would recommend to anyone who wants to experience Guatemalan culture & practice their Spanglish ;) ☺️☺️

Kevin and the whole family are super friendly and I felt at home instantly. Kevin made breakfast and we had a slow morning before starting the tasks of the day. Lunch was alsways at his sisters house which is also a plant store. The food was very good and I enjoyed spending some time with the family and the small kids. All in all it was a fun but calm week filled with a lot of nature, good talks, paternas, macadamia tree planting and a beautiful sunrise hike.

Depending on whether it is coffee season or not, you help on the coffee finca or with their plant business, but kevin always made sure I was comfortable with what I was doing & super flexible when it came to working hours! In addition to getting to know the cute pueblo in the mountains, you're also a part of their family:) Kevin is very understanding, open minded, patient & always happy to recommend activities or places nearby & depending on his own workload to even come along! not my first, but definitely my best worldpackers project so far😌

I spent 1 week with Kevin and his family in their small beautiful village. This was my 1st international volunteer experience and the family is also fairly new to hosting which made for a mutual learning experience. I believe that this has great potential for growth and fulfillment for both volunteers and the family. Kevin was open to talking and hearing my opinions and I hope I was equally open & responsive. Kevin & his family were warm and welcoming, albeit still learning how to live with strangers in their home. I worked mainly helping the family with their plant businesses- recommend 100%

It was a great first experience as a volunteer. We had a great time! The welcome of Kevin and his whole family is incredible. They're all present to help us at any time so that we are comfortable and that we don't lack anything. We were able to carry out various tasks and we discovered local life thanks to the whole family. They introduced us to their village and taught part of the culture of Guatemala. It's a very generous family and with great flexibility, they're really multitasking! If you're passing through Antigua, we strongly recommend it. We would still have a lot to say...

This experience was the best of my whole life. Instead of just meeting locals, I truly met angels. Kevin and his family are amazing, As I left my family in France I found a new one in San Antonio. The work was perfect, even more than what I expected. We harvested coffee, we did gardening, took care of the puppies, learned how to make coffee with the ancestral method, and even how to make traditional clothes. Each member of the family showed us a part of their culture. Leaving was hard, and full of many tears. I miss you so much, forever friends ❤️

It was a great first experience as a volunteer. We had a great time! The welcome of Kevin and his whole family is incredible. They are all present to help us. Kevin and his brother Allan introduced us to their village and taught part of the culture of Guatemala. We had time for ourselves and also shared time with the family. It's a very generous family and with great flexibility, they are really multitasking! If you're passing through Antigua, we strongly recommend it. We would still have a lot to say... the easiest way is to come and live it.

This first experience as volunteers was the best we could ever have. Kevin, Dylan, and Allan, and all the family welcomed us with kindness and generosity. It was a professionnel but above of all, a real human experience. They were really involved in sharing their passion and their know-how with us, and helping us discover the local culture. It was not only having accommodation and meals, it was having a new family for life. Thank you for everything ! 🙏🏼 We recommend to everyone!

Kevin was a very friendly host. He provided a nice breakfast every day and took care of my well-being. However, the job description he gave me before I arrived was not what I actually did. He said that I would be helping on the coffee farm, which was actually the reason why I chose this position. However, I never visited the coffee farm. I just helped with construction and cleaning around the house. It rained a lot while I was there, which might have been the reason for my different experience compared to others. Under different circumstances, I might have enjoyed my stay more.
